Excellent (with a little common sense protection.)
A solid timer. As I read reviews on this & other outdoor timers; I’m obligated to make a comment around many 1 star reviews, nearly all revolving around the unit’s failure to be Waterproof.Ya can’t put it face up on rocks, have it drink 6” of direct rain in 48 hours, and expect good things to happen. Think of it this way: It’s like taking a bath with all of your favorite AC appliances in there energized.Think of conduits/junction boxes and the strict electrical code governing them. Ya need to show these a little love as well. This is my 2nd one of these. Been a year or so with the 1st here in rainy Oregon, and I’m happy with it. I put an inexpensive (transparent) plexiglass box over my outdoor sensors. (There are a few upside down cord-hanging units that are ok exposed, and you can see how all water is kept from the outlets by a contoured perimeter design.)I recommend.Bob

Remote definitely comes in handy
I only gave four of five stars, I can't attest to longevity/weatherproofing because I plan to unplug it once the snow falls. I've enjoyed using this during the warmer months on the outside water fountains that I purchased at a big box store. I love being able to use the remote from inside different rooms within my home, it has great range.

Works great! Been using for almost three years outdoors.
Really like these. It is mid October 2021 now and I bought two of these late November 2018. Have been using them outdoors year round here in the Pacific Northwest, with lots of rain and they've been buried in snow a few times. Works great. Only issue I have is they stay off if you lose power, so you have to set them to your desired setting to get the working again. But for the price and performance I still think they get five stars.

Doesn’t work if your cord has a transformer
This seemed like it has solid construction. Unfortunately the lights I intended to plug in have a transformer at the end of the plug that is about 2x2”. The weatherproof door prevented me from being able to plug in my lights because the transformer was too big. This will only work with regular size plugs. If you’re using regular size plugs, it would be great and I love the remote. I’m keeping it for future use.

Works as advertised.
Update: purchased March 2023. No problems at all and they have been put to test by bad weather. Would definitely recommend.2 spotlights for US Flag. Holds up well with rain and snow. Mounted on spike which was supplied.

Works AMAZING! But keep it away from direct rain
Bought this unit a year ago and it still works amazingly. We placed it in the shed next to the house and the signal goes through effortlessly, every time. Signal goes through the glass, walls, yard, everything. Works better than the remote in my tv!Some reviews are angry that its not weatherproof but very few things are if you leave them in the rain all the time. Just place it somewhere relatively dry.

Uses and Recommendations
Good devices (I have two) one in my garden and another in the front entrance. I find them particularly practical as they allow for setting up a time-lapse when operating in a photocell mode. As these are outdoor timers to protect them from the elements I would recommend greasing the plug receptacles with an approved lubricant for electrical connections. Too, I would suggest covering them up during heavy snow falls or installing them high above ground, instead of using the provided stakes.

Super easy set up!
Right out of the box set up. So convenient for Christmas lights. Lights are on/off with the press of a button. Will purchase another one.
