My subwoofer works like new!
The instructions were clear and easy to follow. This repair kit makes my 10+ year-old sub sound like it did when I first got itJust a heads up to any future purchasers, the glue dries very fast, so you'll need to work faster than you may think.

seems to be good!
I've never done this before, so, I was somewhat apprehensive about doing it. When I was younger, I used to tackle all sorts of stuff like this, so, why not?Kind of weird, the product arrived, & was bent, due to packaging/handling. I set it out, & after a few hours, it seems to straighten right out. So, I made sure to get the speaker out & to get it prepped to do the job. I pried the plastic ring, that holds the pressure fit grill off, by getting a flat knife/bar, & worked my way around. Just be careful & you should get it off w/o problems...I had read the reviews, talking about "making sure you use strong glue", which make me think that, either they didn't use enough, or that the glue (included) is not very good. So, I had made sure to clean off the speaker cone w/ rubbing alcohol & a paper towel, folding the towel, wetting it, then spinning the speaker while rubbing the wet towel, repeating until most all the residue is gone. Then I let it sit overnight & tackled it.I applied the glue, by putting a bead on the cone edge, by spinning the speaker, & applying straight from tube. Did the same on the outside edge of the speaker frame. I then, made sure to even it out.side note: I cut the bristles on the (included) brush to about ½ length, so I'd have more control. Then, just to make sure, that I had a good bond, I added a bead of glue to the surround foam, to mate w/ the glue on the frame/cone.Weirdness, the rubber surround deformed when wet... kind of tripped me out...but... all in all, I mated it to the speaker, & once I got it to adhere to the speaker, it started going back to normal shape.I ended up flipping the speaker down on the rubber, so that it would force some pressure on the frame & cone, which seemed to work...I somehow, must have done something wrong, because the rubber ended up crooked on the frame/cone. I was somewhat concerned, but, by this time, I had let it sit, more than a day, so, I figured I'd just put it back together & give it a shot.Ends up, it works fine, even though I schlep'd it up...It may not look pretty, but it sounds fine. The bass response seems a bit different. Seems more fatter, like the frequency has a hump in the low midrange. But, it sounds good, I'm happy w/ the result. I have the unit hidden behind a TV.I say all this, including my mishaps, to show that, it's not as finnicky as you might think. Just do your best & you should be able to do it. Just make sure to clean up the old stuff & glue it well...

Great instructions
Great repair on an old Pro Media 2.1 sub. They include links to excellent video instructions, including one to use a tone generator on your phone or tablet to center the voice coil while setting the final position of the surround. The final result is good as new.

Works as advertised!
How awesome it is not to have to completely replace an otherwise perfectly good set of speakers! The foam ages and after 10 years, it finally blew and just sat there and rattled. A quick search revealed this repair kit for a fraction of a new set. As long as you read the instructions carefully, are delicate with any required cuts, and are PATIENT, you can't go wrong. I didn't exactly get my foam replacement perfectly centered but it didn't seem to matter. Sounds just like new. Would highly recommend this repair kit.

exactly what I needed
I was expecting to have to buy a new driver, but this repair kit worked perfectly. The instructions were thorough and well-written, and, other than a screwdriver and knife, it included everything I needed.

Doesn’t fit
The size of the roll on this is deceiving. It is very small for a subwoofer. The seller also doesn’t do returns on Amazon, so beware.

Learning Curve for Re-foaming Speaker!
Product was just as described and at a good price point. Glue performed well! Surprisingly enough, although the speaker was bad, on my Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 subwoofer, in spite of the tight fit, when replaced the grille cover rattled so I left off and the new re-foamed speaker then sounded perfect! Go figure!

Expensive for what it is.
Only comes with one surround. My ProMedia "sub" has two speakers. Very expensive for what you are getting. There are drop-in-place replacement speakers (not OEM unfortunately) that cost similar to this kit, for example. I returned these via Amazon Prime for a different product that costs about the same price but includes two surrounds.
