One of the best whopper ploppers out there
Used this whopper plopper at sea with my dad and caught my very first fish using my fishing rod, that too from the shores. Awesome Lure!

Unbelievably Effectively!
We decided to try this bad boy in an AZ river that I have fished 25 years for smallmouth bass. Prior to finding this gem, we always used various colored rubber worms with varying success. The pool in front of our campsite is always hit or miss. I threw this thing out there on our 2nd day after pulling a dozen smallies out of the pool at that point. FIRST cast...WHAMO! Pulled out a 2 pounder. 3rd cast..another 2 pounder. Over 4 days we caught over 150 smallmouth, 90% of which were caught with either this Whopper or the black one. The perch was by far the most effective one. Just make sure to tie that knot! We had a monster snap 6lbs line right as we went to net it. It was painful watching that beast swim off with a $14 lure! We switched to 15-20lbs braided line and didn’t have any more issues other than snagging buses on the other side of the river because we cast too far. This thing moves through the air! The weight of it allows super far casts when needed. I thought this thing was going to be too big, but I found the bigger fish gobble it up. The good thing about it being so big is the dinks strike at it constantly, but don’t get hooked. That saves a lot of hassle removing these monster treble hooks. I highly recommend this lure for smallmouth bass. We fished the first week of July in eastern AZ, with daily temps in the 90s. Lookin forward to see how it does in the fall when the water and temps cool down a bit.

Bass love it
Gift to my 14 year old grandson who loves to fish. Caught a number of bass on it, up until a large snapping turtle ate it and took it into the depths of the lake. High quality but doesn’t stand up to snapping turtles.
