This natural scrubber/loofah is made from the dried, fibrous interior of a tropical fruit of the gourd family, sewn to a soft terry cloth backing to make loofah pads. Traditional variants (actual, uncut loofahs) are hung outside many brick and mortar stores if only we had noticed or knew what they were meant for or how they were supposed to be used.Many of us have used the plastic loofah that is readily available at retail stores and even comes free with many body wash gels. It's soft enough to wash the body off dirt and dead skin cells/exfoliate once every few days. But, it's plastic, non-biodegradable, and pollutes the environment.I was totally surprised to find out that this natural scrubber feels just as good and soft on the skin (not like cloth/sponge though), except you MUST soak it in water before use to make it soft. That's right, it's safe to use on skin! (Except the face.) And as usual, rinse and hang it to dry after use. The pads have an elastic hand strap on the backside to allow for a decent grip (although I don't think it will last and don't use it).After a fortnight of use every other day, it seems to be falling apart, and looks like it will last a month at best, let alone 1-2 years as advertised (not that I believed it). It lathers the body wash well, as expected, so money well spent!I am going to try the uncut, traditional whole loofah variety next and see how it fares against this, esp. because they are way cheaper. Will update once I do.

The scrubbing material is really thin and the stitching which binds it comes out after just one use. Since the material is thin, a lot of bathing gel is required to keep up the lather.Absolute waste of money, seems like someone made it during an art & craft hobby class.

loofah is good but there should be some loop at the edge so that we can hang it on a hook
