They will eventually grow into a full size tree if allowed to do so. if this would be a concern, you could always prune them into bonsai trees. Either way, experience has taught me that they will need to spend some time outdoors. Hope this helps.

Again, experience has taught me that some seeds need to experience cold frosty weather in order to break the dormancy. What I do is place them in the fridge for a few weeks to simulate being outside.

This tree grows insidiously in the uk which is a pretty wet climate, with rain all year long so it may struggle but then again the plants don’t read the books so you never know? For the sake of a few quid it’s worth the experiment! Good luck and happy growing😊

I think Scots pine would prefer a soil that is slightly acidic. I say this because in their natural home, there is a high incidence of rainfall. This rainfall would wash out of the soil all the alkalinity and would thus leave the soil on the acidic level of the scale.
