Awesome buy!
My son says : this is a awesome kit, but I wish it came with some tape, it also would’ve been really nice if it came with a manual showing various designs but regardless, it’s fun and easy to use:)Hopefully it’s fun for you to!

Good for the little ones
My nine-year-old love this. He is such a creative little boy and wanted to build, and this was the perfect kit for that.

When run with a 9V battery, they get slower by the second as they run. See video!
The media could not be loaded. At first I stated the motors are garbage. This was because, when run with a 9V battery, once you start them running, they get slower and slower as they run. Over the course of a minute or so they are barely running or stop. Check out the video showing this! That is a new battery being used! I thought this was one bad motor. However, all of them had the issue!Later, I tried a motor with 3V (2 AA batteries). No slowing! It ran fine and consistent for minutes. So, I upped the review to 3 stars from 1. The kit is great except for it boasting 3V-12V motors and including 9V connectors which are then worthless. The kit might as well come with AA battery holders.

Powerful
This is one interesting kit. I bought it to have parts for a miniature machine shop I'm building for my Stirling Engine. The box comes packed with all kinds of goodies which allows you to start a project without having to buy hardware the kit didn't supply, so no disappointment to whoever buys the kit.HERE'S A BIG IMPORTANT ONE !These little engines do have some torque, there are the same type motors you find in high-speed oval track slot car racing, (although definitely not the torque of a Mura racing engine )SO, FOR THIS REASON,You will find that batteries are on its list of favorite things to drain. Big suggestion here, skip the batteries, go with larger lithium ion battery packs or energy storage devices, the ideal being AC/DC adapters or a power supply suitable for such purpose. I cranked one up with one of the high performance propellers, 12 volt 3 amp power supply, the first time it jumped right out of my hands, (that I did not expect at all) the second time it got revved up and then blew my eyebrows off with the prop backlash.Have fun

Great BUT not perfect!
I've used similar more expensive products such as LegoMindstorm an Kinex so i'm very familiar with something like this. The main benefit is the price and assorted items. To buy the Motor, Switch, Wire, and Battery-Connector separately would be pricey since they only sell them in bulk. The On/Off switches are around $5 for 10-15 alone, I only needed a few for a YouTube video so I figured I would buy this DIY-Pack instead.I'm overall satisfied with everything but the gears. You get way more then you need or could use. So many kinds its hard to figure out what works/fits. I've been working at it for over an hour. I used the long plastic piece with 15 holes to secure the gears/shafts. In the end it works but the holes are too big and the gears teeth too small. They are also VERY difficult to get on the shaft. I have to push it against a desk with 2 hands to slide gears on, and use pliers to take them off. Not very user friendly. In the end I feel its a great package but not the best learning tool. Without instructions or advanced knowledge/parental help it would be dangerous to hand this to a child. You could short a circuit and possibly cause a fire. Great for an adult though.
