Teaching tool now Office display
I thought this was going to be a larger scale than it is. I'm using it in my office as a model because the detail can not be seen by my low vision students. I wish this was in a much larger detailed form to put together to use as instruction material for my low vision and blind students.

Eye for anatomy
I had to wait for this item to arrive to find out why this is a puzzle and not a model. Like a puzzle, there are no written instructions but the pieces only fit together one way. It comes in 35 pieces, which is more than there are parts of the eye. Because of the way it is packaged some disassembly is necessary before it can be assembled. Some of the pieces are difficult to fit together without another piece flying off. With some patience it can be done. Rather than use the included stand which holds some of the pieces together, I inserted an appropriate size screw in the bottom. Then I used some fishing line to hang the eye from the ceiling with some other items to create a "Twilight Zone" theme in the sci-fi corner of my library. Yes, it is educational but cool.

Fun and Educational
I bought this Model for my nephew and he loved it. They get to build it and learn at the same time.

Fair model, but assembly is a pain.
I'm giving this 3 stars largely due to the frustration level during assembly. The instructions are lacking and the pieces aren't exactly machined to the highest quality, so some parts took more force than others- as in my husband had to come help the kids and force some of the pieces together. Therefore we can't really take the inner layers apart anymore as they're too big of a pain to re-assemble and too frustrating for the kids. It's still a good visual model and aid, but the quality on the fittings wasn't perfect. It's more of a put together once and leave it, than something the kids can disassemble and reassemble as part of their science studies.

gift for granddaughter studying to be an optometrist
This is a gift for my granddaughter who is in college to be an optometrist. It will not be large, but being a smaller size makes it more accurate in size. I know that she will get a kick out of it and that it will be something that she will keep.

An okay puzzle, poor educational tool
I'm an Optometrist. I purchased this toy/model as an educational tool for my patients.1. This model is small2. This model's pieces are hard to put together, easy to fall apart and hard to just take certain pieces off to show different structures individually

First one came broken, second doesn't fit together well
I wish there was a different brand available in a simple, cheap eye model like there are for many of the other models, because this one is pretty low quality. The first one I got had a piece broken off inside so it wouldn't stay together. The second is in good shape, but still doesn't fit together very well: large gaps between pieces, and some pieces fall off with the slightest touch. It it reasonably accurate in terms of anatomy, but I wouldn't purchase again or recommend to anyone else.
