Why did you pick this product vs others?:I never thought about getting an ice scooper until I used one at friend's house recently, and this one is perfect. Theirs was metal - which was OK, but cold to handle. This is a case where plastic wins hands down, and of course it's Oxo, so you know it's going to be nice to use.

Ok, it is probably more expensive than it needs to be, but it is worth it. It’s the perfect size for filling glasses and bottles with ice. It can be squished a little for smaller bottle openings. The rubberized material on the handle is perfect for leaving in the freezer as it is not freezing cold or slippery for those with arthritic hands. As others have mentioned, it handles breaking up stuck cubes easily. I haven’t come across an Oxo product that disappoints yet.

Perfect for a French Door Refrigerator with a large ice bucket. Will not rust so I can leave it in the freezer all the time and no one has to put their hands in the ice

I’m loving this tool so far! We have an ice tray in our freezer and I normally take the ice out using my hands. Not a big deal but I usually have ice falling on the floor or I break a nail. I scoop ice multiple times per day and thought it was time to get an actual ice scooper. This has exceeded my expectations so far. It’s the perfect size. I have no complaints right now.

I've had this for almost 2 years. I have scooped up so much soil for my houseplants with this. Is that what it's intended for? Maybe. Anyway, here's what I like about it:- It's a simple scooper- It's easy to clean- Solid and flexible grip- Holds a good amount of soil- It's inexpensive and worth itI'd buy it again if I needed another one.

Use it in the freezer, handle gets sticky.
