Fresh, homemade tortillas, naan and pizza so easy!!
I didn’t think I needed this tortilla press in my life. But have you seen the price of store bought tortillas lately? They are just flour and water!! So I bit the bullet and bought this press. It really doesn’t take up that much room in your kitchen. Makes fresh, easy peasy, yummy tortillas very quick! I made corn and flour tortillas for tacos for the fam and they were delicious! Warning-they are addictive! I ate two tortillas hot off the pan!! One note though-my flour tortillas shrank up and were not super thin. They came out more like naan or pita thickness, which is great, just not for tacos. Upon further research I found the press is used mainly for corn torts. Flours (for tacos) are usually rolled out thin with a rolling pin. The flour tortilla dough also needs rest time. So I flattened them out with this press then continued to roll thinner. I will need a little work on getting this down for flour tortillas. But, none the less, they both came out great. Fresh, simple ingredients. I will also use this press for my pizza dough for my pizza oven to make individual sized pizzas as my family likes thin pizza crust. I just buy the raw dough from my local pizza shop ($2). This press is worth the money, IMO. Takes taco and pizza night to the next level!

great for pressing out whole wheat flatbreads and tortillas
I use it to press whole wheat tortillas. I know I can roll them out, but it's honestly easier to just press it. I can get my 3 y.o. to help me make tortillas. I put the dough between sheets of parchment paper. She can press them and flip over the parchment paper. I don't think I'd be able to teach her to roll out a tortilla with a rolling pin, and even if I did, she wouldn't be able to do it in the same amount of time, and in such a nice circular form. I've used it for other whole wheat flatbreads as well. I used it to press out my yeasted naan dough.

Heavy Duty and Makes Great Tortillas (But Get Ready for a Workout!)
I'm giving this Cast Iron Tortilla Press 4 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do: it presses perfect tortillas! The cast iron construction is undeniably robust. You can tell this thing is built to last and will hold up to years of use. I've been making consistently round and evenly pressed tortillas since I got it. The resulting tortillas cook up beautifully on my comal. However, and this is a big HOWEVER, be prepared for some serious heft! This press is super heavy. Like, surprisingly heavy. It's definitely not something you want to drop on your foot. While the weight contributes to its effectiveness in pressing, it also makes it a bit cumbersome to store and maneuver. If you have limited wrist strength, you might want to consider a lighter option, or enlist a helper! Also, I’d recommend investing in some parchment paper or plastic pressing sheets. It really helps prevent the dough from sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. I didn't do that at first and learned my lesson the hard way!Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The quality of the tortillas is worth the extra effort. Just be aware of the weight before you buy. It’s a solid, well-made product that will last a lifetime, but it’s definitely a workout tool as much as a kitchen appliance!

Cast iron fan here
I just got this and haven’t used it yet however it’s heavy duty and should do a good job. I noticed others are selling the same only a different name on it no big deal but just a side note. Only thing I’m going to change is the cotter pins I’m going to put a Clevis pins on it. You can scratch yourself if you’re not careful.

Good size, but needs to be cured
I haven't tried it as such yet, but I want to say that it is cast iron, but it's a material that if you drop it from a few inches to the ground, or worse yet, if you drop something heavy on it, it's very likely to crack, so be very careful.

I use this all the time
This is a great tortilla press, I’m still a newbie but my tortillas are even and they puff up when cooking. I like the cast iron weight and look of this. I’m sure it will last me years and years, great quality product.

Great Tortilla Press
This tortilla press is sturdy, and works well. It's highly advisable to place the dough ball between a split plastic bag to avoid the tortilla sticking to the inside of the tortilla press. Just the nature of the beast.I contacted the Victoria site to replace a missing spare part. They were responsive and prompt, can't say enough about their service.
