I bought this for my daughter and I just because of the dental reason, but I’m not sure if it was a pill or not, but there is a side effect. She seems to be losing weight from it..

Lactobacillus Salivarius is probiotic support for teeth and gut. I chew one pill each morning for my teeth health. Tastes good! (and seems to be working well). The bottle suggests chewing one tablet 15-30 minutes prior to a meal. Only need one a day. It is a rather large pill to swallow whole. I keep it in the refrigerator, which helps remind me to take the pill before I fix my pets and my breakfasts each day

I didn't do my part and read first that these were chewable. I'm not a fan of the taste so I don't take them regularly like I should.

Other "oral prebiotics" with L. Salivarius are no problem for me, but this Double Wood product gives me the "runs!" I am particularly sensitive to Ochratoxin. I guess that the "natural vanilla and/or bavarian cream flavor" additives may have been moldy and contaminated with mycotoxins. It took a month of daily use before getting the runs and then another few months of stopping and then restarting the product to determine that this product IS a problem for me. Most people will not notice the contamination, but that I am so sensitive that I can't have 90% of coffees and 100% of xanthan gum and most other food grade gums.

We needed a quality probiotic and finding one that is chewable, and doesn't taste weird is a great plus. Seems to work well, especially during the cold / Flu season when family has had to take antibiotics.
