We recently went camping with all of our kids, typically we have some of the family hammocking and the younger kids sleep in a tent. But we thought we might need hammocks for everyone this time around due to the likelihood of uneven ground and hiking in. I did a lot of research into many different hammocks before choosing this one! I needed something that was high quality without costing a ton. Our teens are used to hammocking, but having this set up for the littles turned out to be awesome. They slept great. The mosquito nets also allowed us to attach fairy lights to the tops using the same ropes. We would turn them on before all the kids dispersed to their hammocks so they could easily find their way around. Then after they were settled we would turn them off before we went to bed.I was considering buying a more expensive lay flat hammock for myself. I was worried because I often deal with my neck shifting out of place. I slept in this all week long and never had an issue with back or neck pain at all. They were so easy to set up, good quality straps and nets. We had an issue with one net that the company replaced so quickly. Their customer service was genuinely a pleasure to deal with (which is a bit of a miracle when it comes to customer service reps, but they were great!)They don't weigh too much. Even our younger ones (3, 5 and 7) can carry their own in their hiking packs. I don't often write reviews, but this product turned out to be such a blessing for us on our recent trip that I knew I needed to come back and share. If you're on the fence, it's more than worth the price.In the picture it may look like the net lays low, but it doesn't, this is because once the person gets in and weighs the hammock down the net stays up higher. It is actually very spacious and doesn't droop towards you or feel claustrophobic at all. That had been one of my personal concerns about the net, but it was never an issue for us.

So far so good I got it set up the way I want it. I put a structural Ridgeline, by cutting the bug nut a little on each end. And I added whoopie slings. My tarp also has snake skins for easy deployment. If you're new to hammocks this is a great setup you can experiment with. For those of you saying you still get bit by bugs underneath you should be lying on a sleeping pad or have an underquilt like I do and that would fix that and your back wouldn't be cold. Also to sleep comfortably in a hammock you should be sideways and you're almost flat that way. Always buy a double hammock the singles are great for kids or if you're smaller adult but a double will always get you that sideways lay that is the most comfortable. I've been sleeping in a hammock every night for the last 10 years and my back doesn't hurt anymore when I wake up like it does when I sleep in a bed. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this item as it had a great deal & lots of great reviews, plus the bug net was a huge plus since I got it to hang in my horse barn that has lots of flies! We immediately set it up & spent 4 hours in it, it was great! No bugs on us the entire time & even though it was a hot day, there was plenty of ventilation!

Overall, the hammock is great, but the rain cover is a bit complicated to set up by oneself. I've noticed the line snapping whenever I try to get off the hammock, so I hope it lasts more than a year. I love the color, and the size is perfect for me (6 feet tall). It's a fantastic option if you're looking for an affordable and great value hammock.

Used it on a two day trip in humid conditions, the tent sleepers I had with me complained of heat and sweat while I had a nice breeze blowing through the effective bug net. Quality was great, the fabric seems thin but trust me its tough and supported my 200LB frame with ease. I wont knock it for this, but I did find the tarp a bit difficult to set up the first time. Still a great buy for a day trip where a tent dosent seem necessary 👍

This hammock is about a foot longer than many camping hammocks, which makes it lay flatter and be more comfortable. The netting is good and everything seems well sewn together, and the tree straps are quite good too, long and with a large number of loops. Goes up very easily.
