Such an insightful read, I love all the references to real scientific studies I can read through in more detail. Fascinating to dispel the idea that magic is all mumbo jambo.

I LOVED this book! So far I've read it twice and I might read it another time just for luck (!)If you already know quite a bit about magic (I do, coz I use it in myself) then this book will add extra reasons to like it even more.If you don't know anything about magic, then Dean's book will give you something very interesting to think about.Mr/Dr Radin is a scientist and professor and has spent the last 40+ years researching human consciousness, mostly the psi (parapsychology) phenomena.The book is written in a light-hearted way in parts and sincere in others and introduces the concept that 'magic' actually is a thing. He demonstrates the scientific evidence that thoughts are 'things', that we can sense others’ emotions and intentions from a distance and that intuition is more powerful than we could ever have thought (well, that's the average person, for sure)He covers the history and origins of magic, the science of magic, the practice of magic and forward into the future of magic.I especially liked the inclusion of this wonderful quote from the Defense Intelligence Agency (US):"The evidence for a valid information transfer anomaly [a euphemism the committee used for remote viewing] meets all recognised statistical and methodological criteria. This means the anomaly cannot be explained by poor experimental design, incorrect protocols, faulty analyses, or fraud. The magnitude of this anomaly is considered to be medium when compared to other known human behaviors."Now, when someone has devoted such a large portion of their life to the subject, then we as the 'general public' need to pay attention.You're not going to wire people up to sensors, or research how blessed tea will make you happier, but he has.So, read this book and find out the reality of magic, not the hearsay.Fab:) xx

I want to leave a review about Dr. Dean Radins new book. I am currently studying for a PhD in Methaphysical Science. Dr. Radins material is CRUCIAL for me, in that endeavor!!! I have all his books, and they represent a great deal of my research and sources, because he so willingly gives that away! BUT, you can be quite new to this field, not having the lingo nor the background for topics like Psi, spiritual psychology, Quantum Physics, Epi-Genetic etc, and still really, really get it! That’s the REAL MAGIC in Dr. Radins books.The interest in Metaphysical topics, “New Age” and Spirituality, is catapulting these days. It has been my work field for 25 years, and there is a lot of misleading information and books in this field (as in many others). My pledge to my occupation is “Know your Basics”. This means that if you get a solid and accurate platform for your understanding, you will easily detect when you are confronted with information that lacks basic substance! If you want to utilize the powers that all of us possess, when it comes to “running your own life”, and direct your energy towards what you desire, not what you are most afraid of, I would recommend you to purchase all of Dr.Radins books. Because KNOWING, meaning, having a cognitive grasp about HOW and WHY you can steer your future to where you want it to vibrate, is the key to manifestation. You cannot really a get the quality, flow, hope and faith in you own life, if something inside you denies you that it is possible.LIFE IS INDEED REAL MAGIC, allow yourself to experience it!!!

Good review of paranormal phenomena research, including study results. The point about the science community being religiousy anti any evidence or data in this field is a good one. The part about the hard problem of consciousness could have been either skipped or otherwise new ideas in that area could have helped

Absolutely brilliant and also applied science of magick. As a former research scientist myself I found this fun to read and probably easier as it felt quite academic, so perhaps could be a touch heavy for anyone unused to heavy academic writing. It certainly took some concentration to read sections on particle physics but I loved it all. So well thought out and put together. Hoorah!

No denying that Dean Radin is an intelligent person and I brought this book after seeing the movie "enlightment" on youtube and thought I would give it a read. I am a massive fan of Dean Radin and I completely resonate with him.The book itself has a lot of information and takes a while to get your head around all the information. As someone who like's no faff reading it's probably on my half I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would however still a great book and the author is great.

What and engaging and interesting book. Couldn't wait to be able to continue reading, unputdownable.
