Love that this exists!
I love that this exist! I found this just in time when I lost my dog to cancer, and I was able to send him off in dignity. All his favorite humans got to write special goodbye messages to him on it and I got to decorate it. We also were able to put his favorite stuffy in with him. In a small way it made saying goodbye a tiny bit less hard. I used acrylic paint markers and sharpies and they worked great. I recommend this to every pet parent I know! It is worth every penny. My vet also really loved it and I am hoping they carry it in house in the future : )

Quiet dignity for your pet- And it can be cremated (No metal parts)
Important advice point: Go one size up from what you think you need. Better safe than sorry. We lost a very important part of our family a little over a month ago. We knew we wanted him to be cremated, but we also wanted the process to be as dignified as possible. We were in a position where we had some advanced warning before he passed, so we actually purchased and decorated this funerary bag ahead of time. It really did make for a much more dignified end of life. The bag itself is a neutral solid grey and it has a plastic zipper so that the whole thing can be with your pet if you choose cremation. Otherwise you can also bury your beloved pet in it. We chose the bag in part because we knew we wanted to decorate it and it worked well for that purpose. The material is sort of a canvas construction and seems heavy duty. The only part I might be careful with is the zipper. We had no problems with our zipper, but it definitely seems like the weak spot, especially because it is made of hardened plastic. We were just very gentle with it and our dog only weighed around 20 pounds, so not a huge issue for us.Speaking of bag size, these come in a variety and I would recommend going a size bigger than what you think you need. That is what we did and I was happy that we chose that option. Too big just gives some extra room whereas too small could be a catastrophe. I had no interest in my little guy having to get stuffed into something too small. We decorated our bag using acrylic paints and sharpie markers. Both worked very well with the bag materials, but the very best was when we lightly painted a section of the bag with white acrylic, as a base, and then painted over that when it had dried. Either way works, but it depends on the type of detail you are going for. You will get cleaner lines when painting on top of a base layer. We painted an decorated our bag during down time and it was a cathartic experience. It was sad as well, but it felt nice to be able to do something for our little guy when there was nothing else to do but keep him company. It was a way for us to show our love for him and his importance in our lives, even if only in a small way. It allowed us to give him a more dignified and loving send off.I had called the cremation place ahead of time to verify that the bag could stay with him and they said it was no problem at all. That was my only worry ahead of time. Knowing that gave me some peace and we were able to put some small notes and things into the bag with our special pup to give him the best goodbye we were able to.I would (an actually have) recommend this bag to anyone who will be saying goodbye to a beloved pet and family member.

Great product.
I almost didn't buy this when I saw that it said "often returned". I then realized it was probably returned because they ordered it to late. I knew we were getting close and ordered mine in advance so we would have it.

Convenient and affordable
My 19 year old cat was deteriorating slowly, so I decided I wanted to bury her in m y backyard. I used to have my pets put to sleep and cremated, but I started having doubts about if it were really their ashes in the container they returned to me. Other containers were too big (I was not looking to dig a six feet grave) so when I found this Euthabag I ordered immediately. It arrived a couple of weeks before my cat passed. I had time to plan where in the backyard I wanted to lay her to rest. When the moment came, I placed her in the cozy, biodegradable, cute, convenient small bag and a 30" grave was deep enough to place it. Since then I have planted a flower bed on the site.

Worth it for a loved pet.
Did what it should to transport our beloved bunny that passed, to the crematorium. It provided a place for everyone in the family to write a goodbye message and help with our closure. Glad I bought it rather than using a paper grocery or a trash bag. Much more dignified for a loved member of our family.

Will plan on getting another to have on hand for just in case.
i sadly have had much loss in my life...so when I spotted something in the street as I looked out the kitchen window which caused me to go out and look further I was heartbroken to find a squirrel had been hit by a car and obviously driven over more than once by uncaring, unobservant drivers. It was not easy considering the condition of this poor creatures remains, but I got some gloves and as gently as possible, lifted his/her body up and put them in a cardboard box. Lesson here is never to do that unless a burial is immediate. In any case I knew I had to do something and felt this creature deserved more respect and love, so I ordered this in hopes that our local pet cemetery staff might be able to take this to a final resting place. In the interim, I discovered a little deceased bird on our front porch step, and because I was checking on some fawn born in our backyard, I came upon the body of a deceased oppossum...unfortunately nature took it's course and when I went back to get the remains of that little one, the body had pretty much decomposed, but what remained I added to this bag. Many lessons sadly learned and I would encourage anyone who cares to have a small one of these on hand for just in case.

Euthabag for pet burial
I purchased a medium size Euthabag for our cat's burial. It was large enough to hold our cat wrapped in his favorite blanket along with a medium stuffed toy he'd carried around for 17 years. Smaller size would not have worked as well. The Euthabag was easy to use. You can write personal messages on the outside of the bag with permanent markers. The zipper worked well. The bag seems secure. We tied the zipper pulls together but left a tiny vent opening. My recommendation is to dig a deep enough hole so that predators can't access the bag.
