I find the book to be a very good insight into the vast and various seashells to be found around our beaches, it is well set out and easy to understand with excellent images of our coastal shell finds.

Bought for the children to use on their walks.

This book is beautifully illustrated but uses sketches, albeit very good sketches, and not factual/pictorial references. As an adult this is not what I was looking for. However, for children it makes a great gift. It is a quality book, informative and is beautifully presented. It is not that clear from the read up re the sketches v photograph issue.
