Hawkins Futura 30 cm Flat Tava, Non Stick Tawa with Stainless Steel Handle, Tawa with Rim, Pancake Pan, Flat Pan, Black (NFT30)

We first got this griddle in 2015. And now after almost 4 years we are ordering a second one. We used it solely for preparing dosa (indian salty crepes) and made sure to hand wash it always and NEVER cook in it with old oil still sticking on it. The nonstick started to go bad around 8 or so months back around the edges, but its still usable. The center is still quite good, but the sides have worn out and so we aren’t able to make big dosa. The griddle served very well for us. A tad on heavy side, but did a fantastic job. The main thing is to make sure always hand wash it and never to reheat it with old oil sticking on it. We took special care to wash the edges while handwashing it. So cleaning it after dosa preparation isnt easy, but in my experience so is no other tava.

I love this Non-Stick flat Tava to make dosa, uttapam, paratha and chickpea chili and they turn out perfect. The 30cm size is perfect for daily use and it cleans easily with warm water and soap. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for non stick Tava

This is a very nice pan. It is nonstick and easy to use. It warms up quickly and food doesn’t burn on it.

Have owned for three years. Great product! Use it to make pancakes, crepes, French Toast, quesadillas. Easy to store, easy to clean. Has not warped. My brother-in-law was very impressed with the simplicity of it, so I thought I'd buy him one and do a review at the same time. Read the other review about non-stick coming off. No probs here, but only using it a couple times a week and only using silicone spatulas.

The futura tawa was the wprst tawa i have ever seen. Within few days the non stick coating of the tawa is removing and day by day its getting worse. Save yourself and your money but dont purchase this tawa. Dont eat food made on this as you would end up eating the nonatick part which comes of.

Serves the purpose of making roti and dosa for 4 of us, we use it almost daily. It is little bit thik, but size is good and handle never heats up. It's a good purchase for the purpose but it's expensive and might loose nontick coating.

This has been the best quality tawa by far. Works on glass cook top and do mot warp so easily. I had the exact same one before and worked for 3 years. Update: so its been less than a year since I ordered this one and its started peeling already. I have not used any metal on it so i think they have decreased quality.

I love working with this pan, I cook pancakes or some sort of flat bread on daily basis so this is used daily and some days mutiple times, hence, now in a position to give honest feedback based on my use:Pros:The non stick coating is thick and hence it uses minimal or no oil at all. (Oil is needed just to grease up the pan ) and you do not actually need oil for cooking with this.It is heavy and hence you do not need to hold the pan handle and that leaves you to do other job once you have put the batter on the pan.great for making indian style dosa, roti chapati and all.Cons:It is a bit heavy so takes some time heating up. It will not heat up as soon as you put it on stove, it does take lot more time than a regular tava.You do need to season once in a while otherwise it will soak up too much oil.and if by mistake you used a rough wool for cleaning it, you will be left with scars all over the surface and then its difficult to get something cooked right.
