Durable, smooth, extremely high quality. Buy a lock for it!
This is a fantastic bike trailer. I've ridden at this point over a hundred miles with it, putting it through wet and dry, on and off road, two rowdy dogs, a first grader, and all the gear we'd take on an adventure in the day. You can't even tell, apart from the mud on the tires, the abuse it's taken. It holds up, it rides smooth, and it's durable. If you want a bike trailer, this is the one. I love it! One thing to note however -- others will love it too. I had mine stolen off of my bike by a drug addict (a not uncommon fauna in the woods of Florida), and it runs so smoothly and well put together that they sprinted away with it on foot like a roman chariot. When you get the trailer, buy a padlock for the hitch as well to attach it to the bike to go along with your bike lock.I'm going to buy another one of these regardless. Worth every penny!

Awesomely easy and fun
The Burley Bee is collapsable, easy to set up and super fun for me and my two year old. She looks forward to going on bikerides and is even willing to wear her helmet to do so. The ride is very smooth. The storage comartment is adequate. I looked at several of these and the Burley Bee was not cheap, but also far from being the most expensive. I can't imagine what would be improved with a $500-$1000 carrier. This one is great. I've packed it up and taken it to another town to go for a ride. It was easy to transport and assemble when I got there. I'm looking forward to some fun trips and great rides this summer and for the summers to come. I think she is comfortable. She's still too young to give me a lot of descriptive verbal feedback. If you are considering this, it's a GREAT idea!!!

Better than a bike seat
This is a great product. Wife hauls the kid everywhere with this. Light weight, easy hookup, and because it's a pull along, the kid doesn't cause stability issues like on a bike mounted seat.Great weather protection and sun shade.Like it a lot.

Love it! And my 4-year-old and 2-year-old love it, too!
Context: I am someone who grew up on bikes and just recently pulled mine out of the garage to rediscover it after about 20 or more years of not riding. So it would be an understatement to say I am not a regular cyclist. With four kids, I don't exercise much unless it is with the kids. After our first day with the trailer, I am hopeful that bike rides will become a regular routine.I have never had a bike trailer before so nothing to compare, but I assembled it in less than five minutes without needing the directions, and had it on my bike in less than 10 minutes pulling my 4- and 2-year-olds up the hill in our yard. My 6-year-old on his own bike, and me with his two younger brothers in tow, we proceeded to ride our neighborhood ("Potomac HILLS") for several hours. Up and down the hills, it felt like I had nothing behind me. It was so light, I was even able to ride with one hand up steep inclines, using my other hand to pull my 6-year-old on his bike while still handling the trailer. My four-year-old loved it, and my 2-year-old refused to get out of it. After our longest ride to date, my wife and daughter got home, and we went for another ride. Turning is easy, too. Biggest challenge is remembering the trailer is back there. The cargo space is great, and the kids say they are comfortable in the seats. I even took it off-road and up and down a few curves slowly and the kids were happy. As far as possible design improvements, the hooks for holding down the screen on the front could be made to fit more perfectly - they leave the feeling that you are just strapping it to a random part of the frame - but it actually works great. It also looked a little snug for my 4-year-old when both boys were in the trailer, but he said he was comfortable and no complaints. There might be other trailers as good or better out there, but I will never know ...Great construction and easy to use!By the way, bike hitch is included - I couldn't tell by the description and bought a spare by accident.

High quality, rides well and safe
The media could not be loaded. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. The quality is great, it's easy to set up, rides well and I feel comfortable that my not-quite-two year old daughter is safe. The Burley trailers are all a little pricey, but I was able to get this one at a slight discount around the holidays. I had also been eyeing a competitor's product (Schwinn) that reviewed very well and was much less expensive, but their lack of information or photos made me nervous. The reviews on the Burley were all solid, with the only real complaint being that it wasn't cheap. They also provided a significant amount of details on how it was designed and how it would keep your child safe. I was convinced and paid a little extra. We've ridden well over 100 miles so far, and it's gone well. My daughter was afraid of it at first, and she still won't let me close the front cover, but she really enjoys riding with me (as long as I keep the flap open, of course!). The seat belts seem comfortable and secure, and she's fully enclosed by the metal frame. I did buy the supplemental seat pad, although I can't tell how much it helps, as she's fallen asleep mid-ride both with and without it. The hitch allows the bike to lean, which is convenient for stopping, and should prevent the trailer from flipping in the event that I fall over. The trailer is easy to break down and set up, and there are extra failsafes on both ends of the hitch connector to ensure that the trailer never breaks loose from the bike. There's also plenty of storage space in the back, so I usually keep my sneakers in there and put on my biking shoes, and also throw some snacks, toys and extra clothing/blankets in there. The only real detriment, other than the somewhat high price, is that her head gets pushed forward a little bit by the helmet. There is a pouch of loose material on the back panel where her head rests, but the seatbelt straps run up to the top and keep her head somewhat forward. Otherwise, I don't think there are any other drawbacks. If you like riding and have kids, I'd highly recommend it.
