Great strip lights
Lights are very bright and have lots of color choices. I have lots of WIZ lights throughout our house. The app is pretty easy to set up. And controlling times thru the app is great.

Love these smart strip lights
I love these smart strip lights by Phillips. The Wiz app is easy to use and has so many options. The lights can be set for shades of white, tons of colors, and several dynamic options like Party mode, fireplace, candlelight, Christmas, Halloween, or one of my favorites in the kitchen a progressive wake-up mode where the lights slowly get brighter over the course of 30 minutes. I have these strip lights above my kitchen cabinets. They were easy to install, I just dropped the plug behind the refrigerator and plugged in.

There are two versions of the WiZ app...
Was told about these at 9am this morning, ordered via Prime at 10am, received at 4pm and they were emitting light by 5. Mildly infurating process of connecting them to the WiZ app for customization; it was only after a solid 45m of wrangling that I came across the fact that there is both a WiZ 1 "Connected" app (white logo; this is what you end up with when you search the Apple App Store for "Wiz" as instructed) and then a WiZ v2 app. The former will not see your lights on the network, and the latter will tell you that turning them off, waiting 5 seconds, then holding the button down for 10 seconds while powering them back on will do so in, essentially, "pairing mode" (the lights will pulse blue; the first time I saw any color other than the full-brightness white). This all aside, the lights were put together easily (pay attention to the polarity of the pins when connecting the strip to the power source; modular synthesizer players/builders will certainly relate) and stuck on the underside an IKEA loft bed snugly & soundly, with the control box stuck flush to the bed's support beam. They're a bit long for most kid's beds, but you can actually snip off segments of the strip cleanly w/ a strong pair of scissors between two light "nodes" with no issues. I wish there was a more fine-grained control of the animations aside from the preset ones (though there are plenty) but this is a minor gripe for a $30 set of entirely functional and moderately kid-proof/safe lights.

Wizzy Wiz Wizz Wizz Lighting - I love these and integrate with my HomeAssistant
These lights and the modern Wiz counterpart (at least up to 2023) has been nothing but impressive. Integrates with HomeAssistant, and makes lighting the house so much more managable!

Great for the price!
These lights are only in soft white, which is what I need. They set a chill ambiance to my room!

Didn't work; misleading packaging
The biggest issue: this didn't work. Right out of the box; did not function with the included mechanical on/off switchSecond biggest issue: this is not a philips hue brand smart light, even though it has the philips label on the box. If you were expecting to connect this to your Hue app, prepare for disappointment. It's some other app/brand.Third Issue: the tape on the back wasn't super sticky. Had issues getting it to stick to my cabinets.

Nice but app + stick power issues
I already had Wiz bulb lights and knew about the upgrade to the Wiz 2.0 app. However I was not able to connect these strip lights or manually put them in pair mode. I was having an issue where the “device” (lights) would be recognized but the app wouldn’t respond to me tapping that notice to pair. After a day of chatting with support and uninstalling, reinstalling, power cycling phone, etc. they determined I had to use the Wiz original app to pair the strip lights. This meant I had to uninstall V2 as otherwise they conflict and the V1 just crashes. So I did that, paired successfully, then re-downloaded V2 and it transferred over. It seems someone forgot to build in support for strip lights to the V2 app 😑.Aside from that the lights look very nice, bright, and good quality, however as others have mentioned the sticking power is pretty weak. I may end up using a hot glue gun to permanently affix mine where I want them. Also if you have something with bends/corners look into the adapters that will allow you to cut, connect, and make clean, flat turns. I had to do a lot of bending with mine but they are not super flexible which has also contributed to why mine aren’t sticking well since the corners essentially don’t have the sticky part touching my item at all.
