I use my Aeropress at least twice a day since I first purchased a unit in around 2010. Over the years the plastic has changed, small design tweaks have produced a robust, simple, easy to clean unit. The last unit lasted around 4 years, parts wear, seals get loose - while the old unit still works, it did get increasingly difficult to take apart & it now sits in my office! The new unit did not come with all the old accessories, the main missing piece was the stand, the old units came with a box of 350 paper disks, the new with a less generous pack of possibly 50?Over the years the price has gone up, this was a cheapest option I could find.Bottom line these are great, they do just what they say, they are quick, simple, robust, fool proof, very easy to use & clean & they make a great coffee!!!

I love this. We don’t use it all the time because we have lots of other ways of making coffee but when we do use it, it is a joy. The same coffee is somehow richer and, of course, hotter. We took it with us when we went away for a long weekend recently and it was great to have decent coffee rather than the cheap instant stuff the hotels provide. Our trip also included a few days in self-catering accommodation and again this came into its own as it is so much easier to clean up than the cafetière provided.Do be sure to have the press on a stable base as you do have to press down quite hard to push the coffee through but that is the only downside I can think of. Cleaning up after use is a doddle, push out the end of the tube into a bin and just wash the equipment, no messy grounds to deal with.

If you like strong dark coffee this is the product to get. It's not expensive, it's very simple and easy to clean. So whats the catch? Well it's very simple to use but you have to find your own way with them. I brew inverted with coarse ground coffee and after a lot of brews I now make a very consistent cup of Joe. It took a while to get there though, and I had to endure coffee spitting out on many occasions mostly due to putting in a bit too much and pressing down with too much force. I also found not pre-wetting the filters helped. I use mine at work and my brews are rated among the office. It's a two cup thing at best though-least with my approach. It's better than a drip maker though. Look I mean this is just my view so you would have to decide yourself maybe I'm doing it wrong? Helps if you have a grinder but not an expensive one because its rough a grinding you are after. (pun not intended)
