Grumpy Butcher Monster Tomahawk Wagyu Steak, 48-60 ounces - Wagyu Beef Dry Aged Ribeye Steak Meat Masterpiece

Ordered the Grumpy's ribeyes for Memorial Day and finally pulled the grill out of the garage where it sat all winter. Gave everyone this whole speech about how you gotta preheat the grill till it’s blazing hot before the steaks go on. Then 15 minutes later I realized I never turned the gas on. Once I got it going for real the ribeyes came out incredible. Tender, juicy, and that deep beefy flavor. couple guests asked me where I got them so they could order to.

I’ve been cooking steaks for over 50 years, not as often anymore cause I know too much red meat ain’t great for you. But when I decide to buy steaks, the quality better be top notch. I was planning to serve these ribeyes at a family get-together, but when I opened the box and saw the beautiful, even cut and marbling, I got greedy and kept them for myself. Just salt and pepper, seared in cast iron, finished in the oven since they were thick, then basted with butter, garlic, and thyme—rested five minutes. Came out perfect. Honestly, would’ve cost me 30 to 40 percent more for the same quality from Omaha or Kansas City.

These arrived packed on ice , double boxed and insulated. frozen but not frozen solid. Bought these for the family.grilled on charcoal for the best results, they didn`t disappoint. 4 steaks were enough. these steaks are thick and juicy.I grilled them a few minutes longer because of the thickness. everyone said that theirs was perfect. i will definitely br purchasing again.

What was shown and what I received. Should have known when it sounds or looks too good, it is. These were the sorryist excuse for prime ribeyes ever, absolute trash mystery meat. Grilled one to medium rare and we could not chew it, had to throw it away. Will probably trash the remaining 3, not worth the effort to grill. Will stick to buying from midwest.

It was a total impulse buy, but I’m so glad I went for it! Arrived the next day, well packed to stay cold.. I thawed one for dinner and cooked it in a hot skillet with olive oil, using my seasoning. 5 min on one side, 3 on the other and got a perfect crust. Let it rest for a minute, then we split it after a quick discussion on who got which half. It was just perfect. Tender, buttery and full of flavor, just like a high quality NY Strip. We had it with roasted vegetables and a big pot of herbed, buttered mashed potatoes. Honestly, I shouldn’t have second-guessed this purchase. Everything about it was excellent, and I’ll definitely be ordering more!

Initially, I considered buying Omaha steaks, but I noticed they didn't offer a gift note option. Plus I read several complaints about gift recipients receiving the product receipt (showing the price paid), which didn’t feel ideal for a gift. After going through the reviews, I decided to take a chance on the Grumpy Butcher’s ribeye steaks as a birthday gift for my son, and I’m so glad I did! He was absolutely thrilled. As an avid steak lover who’s been a regular at a well-known local steakhouse for over 35 years, I know my steaks. To my surprise, these Grumpy Butcher ribeyes were nearly a notch above my USDA Prime aged steaks I typically order there for almost $90 each. They were incredibly juicy, flavorful, and tender, exceeding my expectations. Although these ribeyes were aged for less than 45 days (likely around 3-4 weeks), the quality was outstanding. I was so impressed that I’ve already decided to order a 16-pack for myself next time!

steaks are thick & satisfying. got a decent sear with only salt and pepper. i used a cast iron for the first time and this steak made me feel like a pro.

I ordered 8 strip steaks. The meat was more tender than filet mignon, very fresh, lightning fast shipping and at a decent price. One or two minor gripes tho - they came packaged 4 steaks to a package partially frozen while I prefer individually wrapped steaks. Also, one package of 4 steaks appeared to be a tangled mess of cut meat rather than "steak" steaks. It's still delicious but if I saw the presentation in local butcher shop I would have passed it by.
