Perfect Fit
NOTE: These cartridges are 16-spline, 2-5/8", with 3 sets of threads. The hot water cartridge turns counterclockwise to open, and the cold water cartridge turns clockwise to open.I ordered and replaced both the cold and hot water cartridges for my 15-year-old Newport Brass 3-piece faucet. The new cartridges were an exact replacement and installed easily.I was going to replace only the leaking hot water cartridge, but after changing it out I noticed that the new hot water cartridge was buttery smooth compared the older cold water cartridge. As such I also replaced the cold water cartridge and the whole thing operates like new again.Word of advice, use anti-seize lubricant on the top threads where the bell housing screws down. Years down the road you'll be glad you did.The included photo shows the new water cartridge on the left, and the old on the right.

Not exactly like the picture shown but worked
Didn't find many options available to replace my locked up cartridge for a victorian cross-style bathroom sink so I went with this one. The part wasn't exactly the same size as my original cartridge, but it worked. Happy to be able to use the sink again.

Worthwhile replacement
After a DIY replacement, I remember why we had originally installed a Newport Brass lav faucet. The old cartridge was way past its life span and I had come to think the faucet was a POS. But with a new cartridge in, the handle performs like the first day it was installed. Do yourself a favor and maintain your faucets!

Perfect Fit for Barand Faucet
Thank you for the very clear information and photo of the valve. I was able to determine that it would be an appropriate replacement for a bad ceramic disk valve in a Barand Faucet. It was a perfect fit!

Fit and worked perfectly
It fit my Newport Brass faucet perfectly and worked perfectly. After 18 years the original cartridge dripped incessantly. So nice to know that a perfect replacement is available.
