The lid fits nice and tight so you don't end up wearing more of the flour mixture than gets on your food. I imagine it would work great with breadcrumbs, cracker crumbs, etc.

I had seen reviews for this better breader and thought I would give it a try. Well I am not disappointed. This worked much better than I could have imagined. I have breaded chicken , zucchini, and pork, it worked perfectly without a mess. Best of all without the buildup on my fingers and hands. It is also very easy clean up and storage. I buy a lot of gimmick kitchen gadgets and this may be the most Impressive one I have ever purchased. Cannot recommend enough.

First use and I'm not impressed. I've wanted one of these for a while and finally decided to go for it. I used it to bread some battered onion rings and the "no mess" gimmick is BS. The onion rings were barely coated because they knock together so much from shaking in a hard plastic device. And there was a huge mess of clumped breading stuck to everything but the onion rings. I wish the cat's litter would clump that well. It might have worked better doing one rig at a time but then it would still be easier and less messy o use a pie plate. Will do some chicken strips and update if that works better.
