Hercules Stands DG307B 2-in-1 Tablet and Phone Holder

Oh wow day 1, item arrive and I could not loosen the (2) knob, which is the one to remove for tripod attachment, I dont intend using it for that, but even my brute hubby couldnt get it to turn. So i filled out a return request then thought we’d try it carefully in the vice grips. Put a towel around it and it loosened easily with no damage. Phew, and i need this in a few days for a gig. My concern when buying it was its robust weight and if the clamp could secure to a mic boom, or very small tubing size. It does. This piece is rugged, sturdy and plenty versatile in terms of gettin the perfect angle. I thought the clip on would be too stiff but i can slip fingers in between and just pull apart. I tested on iPad Mini and iphone 16 pro. The design accommodates these with cases and doesnt interfere with buttons or ports. Its attached to my keyboard z stand with an onstage attachment that slips into the square bar end nicely. I mostly want it just to park my phone at gigs, so i dont drop or misplace it, even though I dont need or use tablet or phone playing live, i just want to know it safe. My tech, keys and cash are kept now. Will see how it works on gig but think this is a keeper. I didnt buy it used, fyi.

As a gigging musician, I wanted a solid iPad holder that attaches to my mic stand for ease of transport and has the ability to angle the view for all of my digital sheet music as I perform. This was a perfect solution. Super sturdy, with no fear of it coming loose or dropping my iPad. It takes two hands to spread the grips…I assume the spring used is pretty heavy duty. Love this device. Perfect for my needs as a musician.

This is well buit and strong. well worth the money. I bought different types in the past. This one is simply the best and will pass the test of time. Forget about other holders made of plastic which end breaking. Get this one and it will last forever

When the overwhelmingly majority was praising the product vs. all the competitors, it was pretty clear. My hunch proved true and find this absolutely a great addition to my gear.

This is a good quality iPad holder with a few ways to mount on a stand. Works well and provides the solution I need.

I bought this to replace my iPad holder (from Hola Music) they had lasted me 5+ years before a plastic piece broke. While I was very happy to see that the Hercules is made of metal, so it would be very durable, it had one critical flaw for me. As a result, I need to return it.This may not apply to everybody, but for me, the main issue is that the holder sticks straight out from the part that clamps onto a mic stand. On most stands, that’s going to be too low if you attach it to the lower thicker part of the stand. The arm that sticks out from the clamp is horizontal, and it does not adjust or swing up and down. The only way to get the thing to the height that I want is to raise the music stand and clamp the Hercules holder to the upper part of the mic stand.Well, this doesn’t seem like a huge deal (and frankly it probably isn’t), that just puts more of the weight higher up on the mic stand and makes a stand a little too top heavy. I wish that the arm that extended from the clamp was also on a ball joint so that it could be secured into place and I could adjust the position of the iPad in any direction, including up and down.While my previous iPad holder by Hola Music also doesn’t have the ability to move the iPad up and down, the way that the clamp sit sits lower than the center of the iPad holder allows me to clamp it to the lower part of the mic stand, but have the iPad set a few inches higher from where I clamped the holder, if that makes.
