Used as replacement fans on a Norcold RV refer
These fans were much less expensive than the factory installed fans and are also the bearing type instead of the sleeve bushing type . I was a little concerned as to slightly higher DB noise rating on the bearing type compared to the same size in the sleeve version . Installed them and they are very quiet . As a long time RV tech I have heard much noisier fans and being the double bearing type they should last many hours of run time . They are used to boost air flow past the upper cooling fins on the 1200 series Norcolds

Runs on small solar panel
I bought this litter fan to vent a battery box that houses 4 deep cycle batteries for my water well. The battery box is outside under the panels but still gets warm in the summer. When the batteries are charging they off gas hydrogen with a strong sulphur smell. I positioned the fan to draw fresh into the box with a vent on the other end to exhaust the gases. I hooked it up to a small solar panel designed to keep car batteries topped off. When the sun comes up the fan automatically comes on. It's outside so I don't really hear it but when I go to service the batteries I have to check to see if it's running because it's so quiet. I insulated the battery box with 2 inch foam so the fan fits perfectly in the cut out without sticking out. This little fan is more for ventilation than cooling. I have it oriented to draw air in rather than draw gasses out so in the off chance there's a spark it will likely not cause any harm. This is a brushless fan so the chance of sparks is minimal, but because it's not rated for use in explosive areas such as mining and milling industries I used my judgement to place the fan this way. For what it does and the price, I would buy it again.

replacement fan for a 4 bay Orico 3549susj3-bk eSATA-III AHCI drive tower in use 365 x 24
the fan had the wrong connector for my Orico 3549susj3-bk 4 bay external drive tower so I cut it off and replaced it with the connector from the original failed fan. This made the install a bit of a challenge (soldering and shrink tubing); but, the end result worked perfectly. This fan was noticeably louder than the other 3 4 bay Orico eSATA-III drive towers that still have the original fans, but not by much.Operationally this was not much of a problem because 2 of the 4 bay towers are used for offline backup and are generally not powered up. This replacement fan fit the rather restrictive chassis mount perfectly. The cooling provided by this replacement fan keeps the enclosed drive's operating temperatures within spec. This is important because the backup process takes about 32 hours for backing up 16@ 4 TB drives.---2nd Orico external drive tower's fan got worn out. Repeated the repair in the same manner as before and got the same result. FYI: what I am repairing is known as a eSATA JBOD DAS (Wikipedia). Replacement is possible with a different (and replacement) technology - USB superspeed UASP DAS at twice the price. Consequently I've ordered another Wathai 9225 2 pin fan for the next drive tower failure.

Works like a charm
I love this thing. We got a Coleman auto refrigerator as a gift. Like everyone else the fan promptly made horrid noises. Of course there is no way to buy a replacement fan from Coleman. Dip Sticks, a ball bearing fan is the same price as the crummy sleave bearing they provided. Popped this baby in and it runs quietly. The $150 fridge doesn't need to be trashed after a couple months. Some people complained about noise. Why I don't know. It is about like a ceiling fan.

Close to what we needed
The fans for our wine fridge haven't been great. Starting about a year after we got it, one went out, then the other - couldn't figure out why it wouldn't cool below 66 degrees despite being set at 56. Then we noticed the fan that's hard to get to (of course) was completely frozen in a block of ice and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any fans that had the proper male connection, so we ordered a second one of these and my husband was able to mess with the connector to get it set up to use properly. Not sure why there aren't male and female connectors available in this style of fan - so taking one star off for having to modify it ourselves!
