Good quality full featured ODB2 Scanner
Brought to replace a £70 scanner that I had misplaced. This one is much easier to use due to quality /size of screen and buttons. Well made with good quality plastic and rubber protective bumper. Good length of flexible cable. Fully featured and reads all the modules fitted to my polo and found codes that an ELM327 couldn’t. Very pleased with this and would recommend.

Did what I needed.
I use windows 11 and it didn’t do anything for the SW update when plugged into the USB port. I went onto their web site down loaded the updated software/drivers (first language option) on the list. Plugged it back in and used the program and It updated in a few mins.I spend a couple of hours with it plugged into my Mini Cooper S R53.With the engine stopped and also running. It showed and cleared multiple transient faults. I couldn’t find exactly what caused my problem but it said one module had an internal fault and it cleared it. It also easily reset the service interval/oil service that my local garage had not done. . As a diagnostic tool I could see the “live data” stream for each section module by module was going to be very useful. For example you can read what the oxygen sensors voltage are doing in real time with engine running as I suspected one was faulty but I decided It wasn’t as they were both functioning. How you interpret read valued from the information is another matter. This would require much more technical experience. I believe it would quickly show you a failed sensor.As purely a diagnosis tool that can also reset nuisance transient faults it did what I wanted.I can’t compare it with other cheaper scanners but it will do me for what I need it for. If you took you car to a BMW garage for diagnostic session it would be more than the price I paid. The build quality seemed to be to a good standard.

Such good value for money
Number 1 :- free updates how many snap on etc tools stop working efficiently if you don’t spend ridiculous amounts of money you can update this machine for ever free!!Number 2 :- so easy to use , it has a massive capability for BMW cars especially my mini and it comes in an easy clean hard plastic case , I am really impressed with this machine I’m glad that I bought mine it has saved me thousands in garage bills

Said SRS System Check unavailable for my BMW 135i
States fully compatible will ALL BMW features but that's not actually the case. Couldn't tell me anything about my ABS fault on 2009 135i.

Didn’t do what I needed, support link is wrong
Recommended by a friend with a newer model of car, wouldn’t reset my oil service indicator.Link for support goes to a UK vehicle repair company who are very tired of being asked for support with the Autophix and have repeatedly asked Amazon to remove the link.

Essential kit for the competent motorist
Brand specific to BMW on this model, very effective in diagnostics and re-setting codes. Can link up to PC for updates, not Mac IOS operating system though. Does the job well and would recommend.

Mini R50 R52 R53 Airbag ABS
This is fantastic - allows the Airbag SRS light to be cleared on GEN1 Mini’s (R50, R52 and R53). I made the mistake of removing my seat after disconnecting the battery (to avoid serting airbag codes) - disconnecting the yellow and blue airbag/tensioner connectors under the seat. However I left the blue connector disconnected when I reconnected the battery - it sets an airbag code and the airbag warning light will remain on on the dash (MOT fail and ai guess inactive airbag system). The only way an airbag light/code can be reset is by a compatible tool. I emailed many scan tool suppliers on Amazon as their claims are ambiguous - most if not all said not compatible. I updated my software to V2.5 (March 2024) and the feature to reset SRS/Airbag codes was present and worked!Another useful feature on this tool for the Mini is a bleed routine for the ABS system - if you allow air into the brake lines and it gets into the ABS unit (eg near master cylinder or a brake line connected to the ABS unit) then it can be impossible to pressure or vacuum bleed the air out of the ABS unit. Running this ABS bleed routine on the tool whilst bleeding the calipers moves the pump and valves in the ABS unit to help get the air out - another rare feature for DIY tool. Of course the tool does all the regular fault code reading etc.
