Easy replacement for ex-Sky Q LNB model EL021
We left Sky Q a while ago and bought a 4K Freesat box. Worked fine with the existing dish until the LNB failed (which manifested as loss of TV reception and then a persistent “Setting up dish” screen. In the settings menu the box was hung up on “LNB: Searching…” where one would expect to see “Type: Wideband LNB”.)Bought this one as it appeared to be a straightforward replacement, and sure enough it was.The LNB I received is a Sky-branded EL026. Our outgoing one was an EL021 but they have the same dimensions, same connections and as soon as I connected the two cables, the Freesat box immediately picked it up as though nothing had happened. The picture was happily playing by the time I got back into the house to check.I intended to just use the original bracket in situ but, being a few years old, the plastic had deteriorated and it cracked apart as I was trying to fit the new LNB. So I just used the (almost identical) bracket included with the new one. It mounted to the mast of the dish in very much the same way as the original one had and was not a great hardship. The old bracket was branded Visiblewave, which is the brand visible in the example image for this listing. I assume that’s the OEM that manufactures the part for Sky. My new LMB and its bracket are both embossed with Sky logos in their respective mouldings. For £10 ish at the time of purchase (May 2024, plus a bit of time up a ladder, this was a pleasingly easy and cheap fix. If we were still subscribed of course we’d have called Sky and asked them to send someone out and do it for us, but since going to Freesat we’re out on our own in that regard.

Excellent upgrade!
Bought to go with a new Freesat receiver, allowing four channels at once (watch one while recording three, etc) Our dish wasn't compatible with the bracket included with the new LNB, but I was able to use the bracket from the old LNB. More luck than judgement on my part. Unless you really know dish and bracket types, you might also need a little luck with that! Our dish is an old third party model though rather than a Sky model. The LNB I received is actually Sky branded. Given that, I really can't get over how cheap it was! The Freesat reports wideband detected and stable, and everything works perfectly. Could not be happier!

Worked Perfectly
Changed for the sky q one when freesat didn’t work. Direct swap for EL021.Easy to swap over as it’s the same but different as it were.

Works but installation difficult
I could not fit the clamp supplied to the existing dish so had to sue the existing fitting by taking the lnb out of the clamp that it came with. This then caused alignment problems and getting a good signal quality and strength took a bit of time.

Easy upgrade for Freesat 4K to record 4 channels
Swapping over from my old LNB for my Freesat 4K box was very easy to do, just a matter of minutes. Word of warning though for Freesat 4K box owners - you should power off the Freesat box at the mains, otherwise it will fail to detect it as a wideband LNB, but once you power on again, it works it out and then you can record up to 4 channels. Cheap and worthwhile upgrade.
