perfect fit, huge improvement
Full size grip but my J frame but doesn't hurt concealability. Always a great product from this company, fits like a glove.

Perfect fit for my snubby S&W 38
The original wood grip looks great but not a comfortable grip. This Pachmayr Gripper absorbs recoil even better than expected. Note: It’s not a 2 piece but a “clamshell “ design.

Best pistol grips for the money
Best aftermarket pistol grips I've ever used. Way more comfortable and durable then original grips. Helps with better pistol control which aids in great accuracy. Quality for the cost. Highly recommend them.

Improves my 642
Having shot with a Pachmayr grip before, I bought this for my new Smith and Wesson 642. It's a perfect fit for my hand, giving my pinky something to grip which was not available with the stock grip. I'm going to carry with it on, despite the slightly increased size. With the way I carry on the 5 o'clock position, it should not be an issue for concealment. The rubber has a great feel and the checkering provides a positive grip. This grip will eat some of the recoil and tighten up those groupings. I'm also able to use my speed loader with this grip, which I was unable to do with the factory grip. My only observation upon install is that the seam does not completely meet on the bottom. There's a small gap. If it were not for this issue, I would have given 5 stars. However, I don't see this being a performance issue and I'm not terribly concerned with how it looks. I bought this for function, not ascetics. If I buy other J frames in the future, one of these is definitely going on.

Great grips
Wrap around, easy install on S&W 637, do not have to remove the pin in the butt of the handgun.

Bought for an old S&W revolver
I Inherited a pearl-handled .32 caliber long rifle cartridge Smith & Wesson revolver, 4” barrel, that my mother never touched. We were a military family but guns scared her so Dad’s attempt to give her some self-protection failed miserably. As a result, it’s in very good condition, being from around an early 30’s production run. I have large hands so the J-handle as made is waaay too small for me to use or fire accurately or comfortably. These rubber grip replacements solved that very well, despite having to carve out a bit of rubber from both insides to accommodate steel pins that jut out from the butt of the steel handle. It is a practical product, if not perfectly fitting or particularly attractive but the only time I can see the product is when it’s not in my hand. It’s a weapon, not a sculpture so I recommended this highly for those who actually shoot their .32’s.

Junk
As with MANY other reviews for this grip, it's easy to install, but fit is very sloppy. If you tighten the screw too tightly, the grip has a huge gap between the two halves. I didn't like it.. it looks lousy and sloppy. If you loosen it, the gap lessens... doesn't go away completely, but the grip feels loose. Pachmayr could do way better. I sent this back immediately, didn't even try it at the range. I got the Hogue Tamer grip, and while it's a tad more complicated to install, it's not difficult at all, doesn't require special tools, and fits a hundred times better than three Pachmayr. Feels great in my hand, and controls the gun well. This grip is garbage...go with the Hogue.

Forget the factory grips
I bought these grips after shooting a friends S&W Model 36 (J Frame) and loving them. First, some words about the factory S&W grips on my new Model 60. I wasn't crazy about how the weapon felt in my hand with the factory grips, and after a day of shooting my entire arm hurt, not from the recoil, but because of how hard I was holding on to the grips. The pinky dangles a bit with the factory grips as well. I do have large hands.Once I put the Pachmaryr's on, the whole feeling of the pistol changed. My trigger squeeze became far more consistent, and I could actually feel when the hammer had hit the end of the pull and was about to fire. (I think this is called "staging" the trigger?) My hand and arm didn't hurt from the death grip I needed with the factory grips, and I do think it handles the recoil a little better than the factory grips. From an aesthetic point of view, it made my weapon look like a real pistol, and the proportions feel right. It is probably a little harder to conceal, but since I carry outside the waistband under a jacket, it's not been an issue.
