I have some favorite knives in a drawer, with only the smaller ones in a small bin. The larger knives slid around, and I needed a space-friendly way to protect and store them. Got a massive splinter from the wood right from opening the package. It looked a little rough all over so I had to take steel wood and sand down all the slots. It’s better now. Heavy and nice design

Threw away the tabletop block for storing knives. This puts them in order out of sight.
