You should get this mailbox!
I’m super pleased with this mailbox. It’s larger than a typical mailbox without looking huge. Roomy enough for a few small packages & a pile of mail. The red color is perfect. I specifically bought this so I could tell people “it’s the one with the red mailbox” because our house is easy to miss. And it works great! You wouldn’t believe all the compliments I get for it. It fit right onto the same post I already had for my smaller mailbox. Easy to install. No rust so far after more than 1 year. Still looks brand new. Door works well, no problems. My vinyl stickers stuck really well. Great buy!

We…everyone loves our mailbox. It’s beautiful. It opens and closes quite effortlessly due to the magnetic closure.

Great Larger Size
The larger size is great. With all the online shopping these days it can accommodate deliveries of larger packages and more mail in general. It’s also deeper than the usual ones too. Go ahead and get locking bolts to replace the plastic door hinges, as other reviews have stated, bc they are rather fragile. The handle is metal, the flag is metal but the hinges are plastic, quality control think that thru!!? These broke in a few days after install. I dismantled the accessories and painted to personalize a preferable color to the gray is comes with. Easy to do and reassemble, make sure to lightly sand everything for better adhesion. It doesn’t come with mounting hardware. 8 holes in the bottom. FYI. (Check the info page diagram) I used waterproof mounting adhesive and a couple wood screws instead of bolts so it won’t complicate the mail/package delivery. The metal is more sturdy than plastic and it is coated to eliminate rust concerns with regular metal boxes. My only knocks are the plastic hinges and lack of install hardware(at least the holes are factory pre-drilled).

Great replacement for my tired old mailbox
Roomy and well-made mailbox. Nice gloss red finish. Like the magnetic door latch- it works better than the standard mechanical ones.

Nice mailbox, looks awesome - installation prep is hindered by lack of info
Really like the box - simple, sharp looking and (hopefully) built to last.Purchased the Zippity Outdoor Products ZP19013 Classica Mailbox Post system to install this on - neither Zippity or Architectural Mailboxes does a stellar job of helping the consumer properly design/prepare for install. It was unclear whether I would need a mailbox base/bracket, and even if I did no specific type was suggested/listed for this box (at the time of my purchase, at least). After receiving the mailbox (and comparing it to the part of the post system that it would attach to) it became clear I would need a board/base/bracket. I cut a piece of plywood to fit, but it wasn't quite thick enough to flush up the bottom of the box so I stopped at the local big box store to find one base available - luckily branded as Architectural Mailboxes! After a few attempts it became clear that this base would not work with this mailbox - the instruction of the base spelled out which type (letter) boxes it was compatible with, unfortunately the manufacturer didn't take the time to assign/disclose what type this particular box is.In any case I went with the plywood I had cut, marking holes and drilling as seemed appropriate, and mounted to the post system. I think it will be fine, but it certainly seemed unnecessary to have so much doubt and uncertainty leading up to installation time, let alone the amount of time I had to Macgyver a solution on the fly.
