Keyless Entry Door Lock Deadbolt Keypad Mechanical Stainless Steel (Pass Code or Key) 100% Mechanical, No Electronic

I bought this lock for our door and we love having a combination lock. It has been working really well for a little over 2 years. It broke and I called customer support. They were phenomenal! They sent me a replacement lock within two days. I highly recommend this lock both for its functions and for the company's incredible customer supoort.

We put this lock on our outside shed door to lock it without having to look all over for the keys. It is a reversible lock so it will work on any door swing. There are Youtube videos that will show you how to program the code.

I Like the lock, but it was missing parts:Parts List-J 2 Threaded with Black Sleeves, only had 1 tube and sleeve.Parts List-M 2 Long Machine Screws, only had 1.It seems like my only option is to return the lock?I don't see a way of simply getting the parts replaced. I don't want to return the lock, that is way too much trouble for a couple of missing parts. In years before (maybe many!), I could contact the manufacturer and they would send just the missing parts. I guess nobody does that anymore?They are minor, so I will find some suitable parts to make it work, but it seems to me it is overkill to have to return it for a couple of minor missing parts. oh well, I guess this the way it is now?! Too bad.

I’ve owned 2 of these locks, 1st one works great n gives me a sense of security. No electrical parts to go bad. The second one I had to return because the screw holes didn’t line up, used one screw, and couldn’t work (didn’t lock in the lock position). Customer service was excellent in returning it and sending me a replacement. Haven’t tried putting it on yet, crossing my fingers hoping the screws line up.

I got this lock because it doesn’t require a battery to work, which means you won’t get locked out if the battery dies. There is a set of keys that come with the unit for those days that you might forget the numbers. There is an option to add more digits to your lock combo but the instructions that came with the doorlock also recommend against doing that since the digits can be entered in ANY order!! Another thing noticed is that the little pieces that make up the locking part are supposed to be gold in color while the unlocked parts are silver colored, yet it can be difficult to distinguish between the 2 colors especially in bright sunlight. Look carefully at the locked vs unlocked pieces, there is a noticeable difference in shape! Hope this review helps you decide if this lock would work for your needs.

If the first thing you do is read the instructions. You'll be quickly disappointed. They send you to a website for a video to help you install it. You think NICE right. Wrong! The next few videos show you how to defeat this lock. I'll use it on the shed. It's insured and the mower's old and smokes.....UPDATE: I received 3 emails about my review about this lock. offering me $ to delete the review. This is the most we can offer."I don't expect to see any $. Nor do I plan to change an honest review. I also wanted to share what I did with these locks. One is on the outside shed, the other is on the basement door. Both used as a child locks. I feel these are great uses for these locks.Side note - If your "sorry" or "really sorry" or want to send me an "apology" then just send the $40. Why do I need to do anything for you? **Update: 3-5-2024I am still fairly happy with this lock, but there is a plastic flange on the doorknob shaft behind the knob that breaks easily. There are 2 small plastic pins that hold it in place. Once broken, the knob wobbles a bit and dust and dirt may get into the mechanism. I used some JB Weld putty to make a flange to replace it. It works OK. I painted it silver so it doesn't stand out too much.**Original Review:I bought this lock to use on my utility room door which is adjacent to my back door but separate from the house. I go back and forth a lot when doing laundry, so I wanted to eliminate the need for a key, but still have the room secure.You program the code by exchanging the metal adapters behind the buttons. Keep in mind you can do between 3 and 6 digits for your code and the code doesn't have to be entered in any particular order. In other words, you can do 246B or 4B62 and either will unlock the door. Once unlocked, turning the knob clockwise will open the deadbolt. Turning the knob counter clockwise will lock the deadbolt. You can also lock or unlock the door on the inside by simply turning the knob.The outer knob on the locked side of the door takes a little more effort to turn than a traditional knob. The smooth metal can be a little harder to grip. A wide rubber band around the knob helps with this. If you use the knob a lot, you may want to add lubrication behind the mechanical numbers every 6 months or so. Something medium thick that won't run out.I am very happy with this product and I hope it lasts a long time. The numbers and letters don't stand out well, but I am used to their position and can put the code in even when it is dark.

I use to work with locks of all types and can tell you...this is a good one! Easy to configure, and easy to install. Also, the buttons don't stick like a lot of mechanical combination locks, which cause multiple try's. Also, the solid construction and key for back up...makes this is a great lock.
