AP Products Parallax Power Supply (ATS301 30 Amp 120V Generator Switch

I have a 1987 Toyota sun raider and I had upgraded the 30 Amp Load Center a few years back. Mounted a generator on the back and wanted to do a decent interconnect transfer switch found this one by chance and it happened to be the very one that mates up with my load center! Extremely easy install I've never cut a straight line or drilled a perfect hole in my life this thing was easy easy easy works great

The transfer switch that I received appears to be a quality product, and so far it does work well. The picture however, is very different from what I received. The proportional dimensions are different which altered how I thought it would fit in the cabinet for the breaker box. Unfortunately, I didn't measure the transfer switch that I received to verify the dimensions listed in the description for this review, but the smaller area side in the picture is more of a square shape than an rectangle which makes it stick out much further from the mounting surface.There are flanges that allow you to screw mount it without opening the transfer switch enclosure. If you have the room to mount it, it works fine. My old transfer switch mounted to the back of the breaker box. The new transfer switch was too big to mount the same way, so had to get some ko romex clamps to run 10/2 romex between boxes.

This product is not from the company direct make sure to keep receipt the company will not warrantee the product not sold by themThis unit is also reverse in set up with only one pre punched inlet hole , I removed the electronics and used my original box , works great .check you set up

This is great!! I was replacing an older ATS in my 1991 motorhome because the old one died (bad power surge). This is designed much better than the old one and has really easy to follow instructions. Right on the internal connectors it tells you which wire goes where; you really couldn't ask for easier!! One thing you should know...if your ATS is mounted to your power distribution panel (fuse box) this will not be an exact replacement. I had to mount this to the floor behind it instead (it could really go pretty much anywhere if you run wires). Not really a big deal but also not clear in any of the online literature. The internal relay is also one easily found on the internet if there is ever a failure (not so on the old one) so if you're handy with soldering you could potentially repair this ATS if it blows. As always Amazon is great, I actually got this in a day earlier than planned.

I purchased this item and had this item professionally installed on 17 June 2015 and this item has failed on 13 Jan. 2016. How do I get a replacement?

I have a Winnebago Rialta motor home with 30 amp 120 volt power. The ATS 301 is an automatic transfer switch which, when installed properly, allows for the power to transfer from generator to shoreline power without having to physically unplug from one to plug into the other. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I used the ATS301 in conjunction with an external shoreline power plug. Hookup of the shoreline power is easy with no need to have an open access cover to make the power change, The new shoreline power cable is mounted on a cord reel.

It was easy to wire in. The delay was longer than I thought. I got nervous it wasn't going to work. But so far it works great. The casing is a little over engineered which makes it quite heavy. The unit it replaced just had a light plastic cover. But now I dont have to worry about damaging it loading my gear into the compartment where it would is mounted.
