Okay, so for context: I am by no means a tall guy (easily under 5'5) and I am extremely thin with some semi muscle tone/athletic physique. Due to this, very few things fit me without some kind of assistance, and even then; I sometimes look like a kid wearing his dad's clothes, so I usually opt for skinny jeans over gym shorts.Anyway, looking to change things up a bit, I found myself browsing for SOME kind of short, because I don't always want to work out in sweats, and ended up falling down the rabbit hole of men's "short shorts" in hopes they may make my legs cooler (and maybe look taller) and these were the guys I purchased. Size small, of course.With a skeptical eye and some premature regret that I had purchased Magnum P.I. shorts as a straight male in 2025, I put them on..."They feel great, actually!" was my first thought. The texture of these things is incredibly forgiving and gentle.So I glanced in the mirror, and they actually fit really nice too. For the first time in a good while, I felt kind of attractive in something polyester. but SHORTS of all things...it somehow gets better though. I put my phone in one pocket, with car keys and wallet in the other, and while they are a tad shallow, they actually hold them all decently enough to make it through the day. Kinda impressive for something made for volleyball/jogging.On the subject of pockets, there is a little hammock inside for what I will politely call "Gentlemanly Modesty." It does its job well enough for Alvin not to jump out, but based on the length of the shorts, his Chipmunks may be at risk of spotlight, if you catch my drift, so maybe put on some briefs when outside your private space if your thighs don't fill out the pantlegs super tightly. Otherwise though, these shorts are quite comfortable when going commando, so sleeping is a great option, and I'd suspect swimming would be just as nice.(TL;DR) In addendum, while having a super comfy fabric, actually fitting well (even on someone as obscurely shaped as me,) and having working pockets: These shorts are actually perfect for outings on a warm day.I wear them all the time now, and have even ordered two more pairs in different colors. In fact I may end up slowly collecting these for my summer wardrobe because these things have changed my outlook on men wearing above mid-thigh shorts.

I weigh 145-155LB and I am 30 weighst size! Medium fits perfectly! It rides up my booty a bit but hey! Gives people something to stare at! The fabric has a softness. I haven’t worn these in the sun light to see if it’s see through. The banana hammock part inside is a bit big though. If you lift - leg up. One (migh)? be able to see your balls. The pockets are small! But over all to wear on a Summer day it’s fantastic!

Shorts fit great. Very comfortable to wear inside the house. Quite short in length so I would probably not be brave enough to wear them outside of the house unless I am at the gym. And even then, maybe too short for some. But, the short length makes them very comfortable and provides full range of leg motion without cloth material limiting the range. Very light and breathable material. They are made of mesh material and are somewhat see thru so I would not suggest people go "full commando" unless legally allowed to do so and/or you are not easily embarrassed. There is a front pocket which will help keep the "family jewels" well packaged however the back side is also of the same mesh material with no "pocket" to fully obscure the backside. Otherwise very good product. Highly recommend. Very to lounge around in. Very good for the beach / pool.

I needed short to workout in and loved the vintage look of these at a good price compared to others. Other reviewers cautioned that they run small, and they do. I am 6’3” tall, 34 inch waist and 235 lbs. I order XXL and they fit like a glove. The fabric stretches and breaths well. The pockets don’t provide much room for anything and are mostly decorative. There is an inner crouch pouch that does the job if positioned when you put them on. You will need to monitor it or you may end up with a wardrobe malfunction during some exercises. The fabric is somewhat sheer thanks to the ventilation holes. I ordered the darker colors so it isn’t an issue. My spouse has said I should leave the house in them, luckily I workout at home. These are very comfortable and well made shorts. I enjoy working out in them or just lounging around the house. Next trip to beach I am going to try them out as well.
