Fantastic resource
This guide is perfect addition to anyone collecting tissue for histology. The guide is filled with images, text, and tips explaining how to remove, fix, and trim the tissue for correct orientation.

This is a beginners book
I was disappointed in the lack of depth or varying methods in this book. It is not comprensive as is missing some basic tissue prep needs. Most poorly done was the GI tract. Example: There should be instructions on how to prepare at least one kind of advanced Swiss roll, let alone flushing the GI correctly or resecting into classic jejunum, ileum, colon. There are no tips on proper labelling of tissue cassettes ( from what ink to use to what info you will need later/ or that your ExpHisto core needs). I wouldn't normally write a negative review but this is falsely advertised as an in depth comprehensive guide while being Textbook priced. The photos are very good, someone's took a great deal of effort to make this, but don't get it for anyone except a Lab/ research newbie who is just learning anatomy.

The photos were advertised as full color but were in fact in black and white
Buyer's beware: The product's key features mention "high quality full color photographs", while at least for the paperback version they are black-and-white.

Not as advertised
The media could not be loaded. This book would have been amazing if it actually had the full color pictures it advertised. Extremely disappointed, returning product.
