Perfect addition for the garage
Northern California summers are ridiculous at 100+ degrees and this fan was a perfect addition to help keep it manageable. I recently replaced my garage door with a thick insulated door, but the air can still be thick and hot. After a ton of research on various brands, fan blade size, noise level, cfm, etc, this fan was at the top of the list. I'm glad I bought it. It moves some serious air (max 3,190 cfm on high), while drawing only 1.5 amps and at a reasonable noise level (I can comfortably watch/hear the Dodger game). The fan alone dropped my ambient temperature in the garage down approx 6-8 degrees. Definitely a solid purchase.PROS:- The ability to mount this on the wall is great. It keeps the floor clear.- 180 deg rotation is handy. I didn’t think I’d use it as much as I do.- Noise is very reasonable. On low, it just becomes white noise.- High air movement- Long power cord. Made it much easier to mount and plug in.CONS (sorta):- The balance seems to be slightly off. Mine has a very small vibration on medium. Not a deal-breaker though.- The pull chain looks like something from grandma's ceiling fan. It does the trick though.Mounting tip - Have someone there to help mount this. It's awkward to drive in the lag bolt while holding the fan at the same time. I’d recommend min 2.5” lag screw into stud or post. If you add an extra (wide) washer in between the steel mount and the wall, you can get create a swivel pivot point to allow the fan to rotate a few inches back and forth.

Works
Use this in the barn. Have 4 of them, have used for 2 summers. They really move the air. Love the enclosed motor.

Moves a lot of air - great in my home shop
NIce wall/ceiling mount fan. Moves lots of air, heavy duty mounting bracket. Not too noisy, 3 speeds are a nice feature. Well built, shroud is heavy gauge steel. Long power cord. This fan is great in my shop and would work equally well on a patio.

Great fan
I mounted this in my garage. I read about vibration, so I first placed a 2 X4 across 2 studs, and mounted the fan to this with a 3” X 3/8” lag bolt. I placed a thick rubber washer on each side along with a metal washer. I then went to my local hardware store and purchased 2 three foot pieces of cable (smaller than the one supplied but rated for 175 lbs), had 2 loops crimped, and looped it onto the fan at one end, and attached it to the 2 X4 with an I-bolt with a small turnbuckle.Sturdy mount, NO vibration. Very pleased, it moves A LOT of air.

Very powerful and not too loud
I bought these for a exercise studio, for the size they were very powerful, put them on a switch up higher, the pull chain is a little short for higher mounts, but did find a long one at Lowe’s for a quick add on for 6 bucks, Low and medium were very quiet settings, high was not too bad but in a residential bedroom setting maybe to noisy for some but any commercial setting quiet enough, well built, no rattling noise, all metal, recommended product.

Moves a L-O-T of air!
The media could not be loaded. This heavy duty/industrial fan moves a L-O-T of air! But, it is not quiet if that is a requirement for you. Fakespot.com gave this fan a high score and the company a good score, this was the basis for choosing this fan.We have an upstairs room that needed air movement for long, hot nights in our Texas summer. This fan can do that on the low speed setting. We've tried various oscillating fans but they didn't move much air and eventually failed. Our single concern with this fan is its out-of-balance blades. There is quite a lot of movement on start up, (shown in video), but the vibration settles down at operating speed. On high speed, a 60 Hz hum can be heard throughout the house on the ground floor. Luckily, we only use the low speed and its not audible in other rooms. We might have been happy with a smaller, 16" fan, but we are gong to hang in there and be happy with this one.We adapted the fan yoke by drilling two additional holes using 4" lag bolts anchored to a wall stud. We ran the cord down through the wall and out again near the electric receptacle below. The 9' long cord is a plus for us as it is long enough to be inside our wall without any splicing, just a new flat plug to fit behind furniture.Okay, the rest of the truth....We sold the 18" fan at loss and bought the 16" model and it moves a lot of air on slow and is fairly quiet.Air King 9318 Industrial Grade High Velocity Multi Mount Fan, 18-Inch,Black

My dream Fan!!!!
All my life I have been using these cheap plastic material these fans have brought me..And ive always heard of the wonders that is the "Steel Fan". I experienced it once at a friends house when I was younger and was blown away. As you can tell I love fans..Ive never been without one..So when I finally purchaed this steel fan my dreams are going to be alot snuggley. When this fan arrived nicely packaged.. It came with several scratches and paint chips nothing too severe but noticable..I would say this fan is about 10 to 15 pounds so be careful when moving it aroud..It has a nice adjustable stand that goes all the way up for folks to even mount it on the cieling..But the best and most important information is that this baby is powerful..This steel fan packs power even on the lowest setting papers were flying and the hair on my head was breezing in the wind..lol I love this Fan..One thing to note it is extremely noisy even on the lowest setting..I find myself raising the volume of the TV to half-max to hear it..that might bother some, but for me it music to my ears when its time for bed...its just soothing..The fan is the top of the line very powerful..I know for sure I wont be replacing this one anythime soon..Goodbye plastic fans...Hello Steel Baby!!
