The only sealer I use
Long-time tabletop miniature painter and this is the only sealer I use. Leaves a nice subdued finish. And it lets me manipulate ink washes, move or pull excess away to avoid a muddy look. Great stuff. Highly recommend.

My savior
After spraying what said was a matte spray over 2000 points of soulblight gravelords I found it had left a shiny coat on everything and I was devastated but after putting a coat of this stuff over them it took all the shine away and made them perfect! It seems to mellow out the colors and gives it the perfect matte look I was looking for. make sure to shake the bottle good before you use it though!

Great product. Bad labeling.
I find the product to be very good for what I use it for. I bought it so I could apply some medium to some Burnt Umber acrylic paint & distilled water and place all contents into a 120mL squeeze bottle and then I have my very own Agrax Earthshade wash like Games Workshop produces. Since Agrax Earthshade wash is probably the most used shade from Games Workshop I decided to make my own and I found a YouTube video on how to make it and so this matte medium is great stuff to help me make it. I also make an equivalent Lahmian Medium as well from this product too.The only complaint that I have is that the label on the bottle was so bad I couldn't read either side of it and it seemed as though mine was previously opened and used. I wish Winsor & Newton placed some type of seal on it so in the event that the seal was broken I would have known it was open straight away and asked for a replacement. I had to dock it one star for this. All in all the product is top notch and it works great.

This is good gesso
Am trying to be as eco friendly as possible with my art, but can't seem to find a good eco friendly gesso. I tried one that initially worked, then cracked after a year of painting. So decided to compromise with this acrylic gesso. It might not be friendly but if almost everything else about my canvas is, then I think that will offset. I use water soluble oil paints on canvases a stretch myself from untreated cotton canvas. So far this gesso holds up and there's no cracks. The eco friendly one that cracked I ignored the early signs.I think I only used two coats and got extremely good coverage. You probably could get away with one coat if you're not picky or do a colored undertone base. And so far it's staying fresh in the bottle without getting clumpy and gross sitting on the shelf in between uses. It's been about 6 months since I bought this. So I'll update as the months or years go by until it's all used. That saying, a little goes a long way too. My one canvas was smaller, but my other one is about 60" x 40" give or take inches I can't recall exactly. I still have half the jar and used two coats each.

Works great as a top coat for model planes and tanks!
I'm using this as a matte topcoat for model planes and tanks. It works great!! I've tried a whole bunch of other matte clear coats like dullcote, klear with a flattening agent, tamiya flat, and vallejo matte. None of them come close to how well this stuff works!! You can see it in action in the photo I uploaded: The plane's right wing still has the Alclad Aqua Gloss that I put on it (by far the best gloss clear coat you can use, I highly recommend that as well). The plane's left wing has been hit with just enough of the galeria varnish to bring down the shine to a good level. You can also bring this baby to a DEAD FLAT finish if you want. I just prefer to keep a little satin finish on my planes. It goes on super easily using an airbrush. I thin it about 1:4, DI water to the varnish, and spray it from 15-20 psi from about 3 inches away. Just go back and forth lightly over the model, building up super thin coats at a time. It really helps if you mist the varnish lightly enough to where it's hard to detect if it's even going on. Hold the model at an angle to where it's reflecting the light. Just mist on enough of the varnish to bring it down to the right level of matte that you want. I don't even need a satin topcoat because I can control how much I bring the gloss down with this bad boy.I honestly can't recommend this stuff enough for model planes and tanks. Two huge thumbs up!

Can't go wrong with Winsor & Newton Gesso
Whether you work in acrylic or oil paints, or mixed media, this gesso does the trick. It provides a good solid foundation for your mediums. I have used it on canvas, wood, and various paper stocks – and I have never been disappointed in how well my artwork looks. Windsor Newton is a name brand that I highly recommend to anyone be they a student or a seasoned professional.

Easy to use
I love being able to control workability on pieces not too fast dry but not oil length drying

Si se quiere mejorar el aspecto de los color4es que se usan en una pintura con colores acrílicos, esta es una muy buena marca que te permite suavizar, atenuar y mezclar mejor tus colores.

Two great things about this product:
This takes colour/pigment well, goes on so smoothly - and keeps its shape when/where needed.
