Great touch dimmer
There's this touch dimmer and then there's simply everything else. Has no problem holding it's max amperage, smooth dim cycle, light touch for on-off. Have over 60 of these installed, The only one ever replaced was due to the customer tried to take it apart.

is actually exactly what they say it is
The iTouch LED dimmer by ledenet, is actually exactly what they say it is. It's in in-line switch that is touch activated has a Deming feature if you hold it down and like I said before works pretty damn is actually exactly what they say it is. It's in in-line switch that is touch activated has a dimming feature if you hold it down and like I said before works great. I have mine mounted underneath my computer desk and hooked up to LEDs around the desk. This gives me a nice ambient light if I turn down the LEDs but it illuminates the whole room if I have them turned up all the way . I only have one recommendation when you first get yours in and your testing it to make sure it works make sure you're not holding it in one hand and trying to touch it with the other hand. It may sound like a no-brainer but that's what happened to me and at first I thought there was something wrong with it because it kept dinging. But obviously the reason it was dimming it was because I was holding it with one hand :b in that was activating the touch sensor. I also purchased a extender so that I could position the iTouch LED dimmer where I wanted to. I honestly love the convenience of this because I could just reach under my desk and touch it everything comes on it's extremely easy it works exactly the way they say it's going to work so in my opinion this definitely deserves five stars, it's does exactly what it's supposed to do. You should also get the 6amp one if you plan on using a full 5 m strip of LEDs to make sure that the life of the switch doesn't get diminished by the amount of amps and power going through the switch , again I highly recommend this for the price it's amazing and if you ever want to add in a remote you could still do that as well ,

Good switch but don't use double sided tape to mount them. It makes them less sensitive.
I have installed 3 of these now and love them. They work well for most people but I have noticed that people with dry or leathery skin will have to push a little or lick their finger to get them to work easily. They have worked for everyone, but they are not as intuitive as a regular switch, perhaps because we have never had things like this in the past. No worries, it only takes one second to figure them out or explain them to someone. Your guests will look a little confused but quickly love them once they figure them out. My only minor complaint would be that they are hard mount. being a capacitive switch, you DO NOT WANT TO MOUNT WITH DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. The tape will be sensed by the switch and make it behave erratically. If you use double sided tape, you will find you touch them multiple times to get them to operate compared to working perfectly every time if you just have them dangling. I found the best way to mount them was to sandwich them in under my cabinet with a small dry wood block. The wood did not seem to change the sensitivity of the device. If these just had a mounting hole or ear somewhere to facilitate screwing them to the cabinet bottoms, then I would have given it 5 stars.

The Winner! (for 2 years)
Far better than the other two on/off switches I purchased for my under cabinet LED lighting. Well made, sturdy, high quality. I just wish I'd purchased this one before the other two, it would have saved me a fair amount of time in completing the installation. The dimmer function is more useful that I thought it would be. A quick tap/touch reliably turns the lights on or off. To use the dimmer function, touch and hold for 2 seconds. If the lights are on high, they will slowly dim until they are out, If on low power, they will slowly brighten until full power. A single touch and hold will not cycle the lights through high, low, then back to high range. If the lights have been adjusted to a lower brightness a touch and hold will raise the brightness to peak power and the adjustment stops. If you then wanted to lower the brightness, a second separate touch and hold would be required. I think this is smart because you never have to guess when you reach peak power output as the adjustment simply stops. The on/off maintains whatever power level it was last set to.UPDATE! Product worked for 2 years before it failed. A touch will turn on the lights, but then they dim themselves over the next 5 or so seconds back to nothing. Touch again, lights on, dim over 5 sec to off again.

Dimmer switch
We are using this switch with LED lights along the floor in our travel trailer. The switch is great. It remembers the setting when last turned off. This is helpful. At night, it provides the right amount of light to get to the bathroom without waking up my wife!

It works great for that purpose
First let me say that this Touch dimmer was what I was looking for. It has a hand print on the device. Others that I tried had the default power symbol, and those I tried from iTouch had to be pressed very hard to function, not what I was looking for in a touch switch. With that said, mu main use of the switch is to hide it under the Kitchen cabinet and turn on the puck lights and off, not necessarily to Dim. It works great for that purpose. But when I used it as a dimmer, it hums, load enough to hear. Again, my main use is full power, and on and off. So my application it was the best device I tried. With 40 years of DIY experience and electrical certification, I know its wired right.

Works great
We have two of these in the kitchen, controlling two sets of under-counter LED lighting, and they work great. Have been using them for over a year now, with no issues.I mounted them under the front edge of the cabinets, and they're very easy to touch with a finger, back of your hand, or even an elbow. :-)It's very easy to get full brightness for working on the counter, or low light to softly light the kitchen at night
