I had been meaning to buy this DVD for ages , and with the terrible news of Rick's death on Christmas Eve, it gove me a push to finally buy it. I am so glad I did. It is brilliant! What a fantastic 3 DVD set. Even if you don't play guitar like me it is still worth buying. It is a joy to watch and there are some great bonus features included, with a guided tour by Rick around the stage set and also a great interview with the man himself. Rick Parfitt is a legend and this is a great DVD to remember him by. I wish I had bought it sooner. It is a must for any Quo fan and a great addition to anybody's collection.

I've played the guitar for some years now ( on and off ) and I've always loved the Quo , so in that respect I'm probably a little biased . Having said that this DVD is a good un . It's a must for any guitar playing Quo fan . I knew Keith Richards played in open G tuning but until I bought this DVD I hadn't realised that Rick did as well . It makes all the difference to the sound and I almost sounded just like him after practicing and a few beers !! The jam tracks to play along with are a bonus and do help to practice with . All in all with the interview and a tour round their practice room and gear guide I spent a few happy hours with Rick over Christmas .

Great for an aging rocker like me. Still don't sound quite like Rick, but getting there. Not for the absolute beginner though.

I've loved Quo from the early 70's and I've played lots of their songs for years, although in standard tuning. This tutorial shows how Rick worked really successfully with alternate tunings. The tutorial covers Caroline, Whatever You Want, Rain, Hold You Back and Mystery Song and Rick takes the viewer/listener from the very basics through the a full performance of each song. There's also a cd with a backing track for each song so that you can play Rick's part alongside the rest of the band (there's no vocals though so you need to know the arrangement. All superb fun!

I don’t think this is for the complete beginner, you need to be comfortable with basic strumming. That said it’s a brilliant learning aid to learn to strum like Rick and get that full Quote sound. Ricks laid back easy going style of teaching is also excellent and I am enjoying the experience of learning his technique and some great quo songs

This DVD is excellent value for money for the Quo fan, as Rick takes you through his part of 5 of the Quo's top tracks in detail, and tells a few stories along the way. Great insight into the process of laying down a track and brilliant instructional value for the beginner and improver. Bonus materials include jam tracks and a tour of the Quo's live backline equipment which is also very good.

Very disappointed, as disk 1 of 2 will not play on any of my devices. I've asked for a refund but I've heard nothing since.
