I didn't know what to buy so I annoyed my husband by buying this and the normal cheap ones - this one by a long shot!! Didn't smash the walnuts at all - easy to use. Great buy!

False advertising. It's not stainless steel. Other than that I'm pretty sure it will do the job. But not what I was looking to buy.

Bought this product for a lobster lover and they work really well.

This is not Stainless Steel. It is regular pot metal. Sturdy enough for a nut cracker but the weak point is the rivet holding the two half's together.

Finally a cracker that works!

When I've had the chance to use them more I'll update. But for now, they are solid, work well, and not really "easy" to clean, but not difficult. The one thing I usually watch is the rivet used as the connector. If it's low-grade material, when you use them to crack something strong, that rivet can break. So I'll want to use them a while before I make that determination.

This one is longer by an inch and strong. I originally tried the short cheap set and one broke on a tough lobster claw so I bought one of these.
