Photos are deceiving as they are not showing the battery I received.
Battery recieved is NOT the same one displayed in the Amazon item page. The one I received for my Sony Laptop had a curved bottom the full length of the battery that sticks down almost the whole size of another battery. Making it very difficult to fit in case. Where as the pictures are showing the battery with a flat bottom, same as the stock one that came with laptop. The pictures need to be updated as they are deceiving. :(

Exxact Parts Solutions Sony Battery
I am using this on model SVE17127CXB. It fits, but it doesn't lock in place so any movement of the laptop makes it fall out. So I am careful on not moving it from its position when in use. It didn't require a BIOS update and since having it, my computer doesn't heat up as much since the extended batter elevates the laptop allowing an increase in airflow.

excellent product fit - but bulky. Does not fit flush with bottom of laptop thus cumbersome; but otherwise, superb!

Sloppy Fit
I am using this battery in a Sony VPCEJ.Electrically, the battery is fine, so far.Mechanically, it's another story. The fit is sloppy. All I have to do is pull the computer a few inches to me, across the table, and the battery either pops out, or is sufficiently dislodged as to mess up the electrical connections.For example, I sometimes find a message on the Windows system tray stating, instead of percent charged, that there is no battery โ this while the computer is actually running on battery power. Apparently, just the right contacts are disconnected so that the computer is powered up, yet unable to detect the state of the battery, or even its presence.I remedy the problem by unseating, and then reseating the battery. This works, but it's kind of annoying.The battery seems to hold a charge nicely, but the mechanical sloppiness prevents me from giving it a full-throated endorsement. The battery could disconnect itself in the middle of something critical, causing the user to lose a lot of work.
