This stuff does the job really well.This year I developed a massive amount of algae in my aquarium, that was becoming difficult to clean up.On research I found that high phosphate levels can cause this. Not always over feed or lighting.I tried using this phosphate minus. And my water has cleared in a matter of two days. Algae is dying off, and plants are recovering.

I use this regularly as part of tank maintenance. I had a bad algae bloom at the end of last year and by using a combination of different treatments have had it cleared for the last two months and have crystal clear water.

Quickly brings pH levels down

I tried using Tetra Phosphate Minus remover using the whole bottle over the course of 6 weeks following the recommended dosage and it made absolutely no difference to my readings at all. They were taken with an API Phospate test kit. This is sadly another con. If you’re an experienced aquarist, you come to expect it. I then tried a single dose of Seachem Phosguard and that worked perfectly, my readings went from off the scale (thanks to the poor quality tap water in Wales) down to almost no reading at all, in the course of 2 weeks using the same API test kit. Put your money towards some Seachem Phosguard instead.
