Q: I purchased two of these here - locks arrived locked and neither of the key sets will turn in either of the locks. What am I missing?

Mine opens pretty smoothly. Sounds like they messed up. If you haven't already, make sure they are both truly locked (push hard) and try to see if you can unlock them then. If not, sounds like you got the wrong lock/key combinations.

Q: What is the diameter of the shackle (e.g., what size hole will it fit through)?

Dear Customer, the diameter is 10 mm or 3/8. We recomend you for this padlock, not less than 10 mm or 3/8 holes. However, please also take into account the measures that we marked as L and C in the diagram, that represents the distance between the shackle and the body of the padlock (The U hole you observe in the images). This last measures will help you to understand the diameter of the chain or of the hasp each padlock needs.
