Excellent writing and as a reader I never got bored. Story telling with facts , figures reference makes this great man history very engaging

A very readable biography of Periyar. Short and concise, probably needed as many pages more to really produce a detailed enough picture of his life. Nonetheless informative and readable.

He was a true dare davil, lived his life on his own terms, his ideal were great n he spent every day of his life to implement those n change the society n make this world a better place to live.. people can say he conveniently changed side with those who was in power, very stubborn.. but what he did n what he wanted to implement in those time , for this u have to b stubborn n u need support of governance.. I wish India would have few more politician social reformer of that zeal n stubbornness with a motto to change the society..

A perfectly balanced biography.

A Brief unbiased account on the history of politics of the state, Tamil nadu and the consequences of the happenings are well expressed through the the author's witty research. Unfortunately or fortunately, the Author didn't analyse the actions of the leader so just up with the facts and happenings. The Author also couldn't analyze some of the claims believed by people mostly by the political motivation of some. As indicated unbiased already, the book not only accounted the fame period but also the negative things the leader gone through like his antibrahmin riots and his authoritative nature.EV Ramasamy known widely as Periyar was the greatest iconolocast rationalistic leader who totally influenced the local political front with his empirical, socialistic ideologies. It is even high tedious and dangerous to carry out his protest methodologies to stand up for a cause. The society may never have another person like him influencing people and politics.A Good book to know about the political history of Tamil nadu and it just starts with this man.

It was very interesting to know the history and Periyar movements in tamilnadu. Also the leaders struggled for tamilnadu freedom to keep the tamil culture and pride. Thanks for sharing the details on Dravida nadu. Appreciate for showing all the freedom fighters and political leaders

An honest attempt to document the life and work of Periyar! As the author aptly puts, one can agree or disagree with Periyar's policies but cannot ignore the impact he had on our society.
