Kitty Holster Cat Harness - Curly Q Red

The harness fit snugly and comfortably for the cat. She had no problems wearing it at all and didn't even try to squirm out of it. I ordered it at the last minute ahead of Hurricane Irma so that we would have a way of controlling the cat after taking her out of her carrier - one of the biggest dangers in travelling away from home is the pets running off because they are frightened and confused, and I didn't want to risk that, so I planned to use the harness with a leash. I had also ordered a carrier at the last minute, and it didn't come in time for the mail service to get it to me before the post offices shut down ahead of the storm. We ended up with only the harness for travel, and it turned out to be enough. We were able to keep her in place in the car, which was very important for safe driving. I can confidently recommend this harness.

We got this harness for a very specific reason - because my daughter, who is in college, has an Emotional Support Animal to help with her severe anxiety. And with the recent uproar over what does and does not qualify as an ESA or a Service Animal we wanted there to be NO question as to the validity of my daughter’s need for her cat. So we looked for something that was cute AND large enough and ‘bendy’ enough to have the ESA designation monogrammed onto the harness.If someone were to ask my daughter about the validity of allowing Coraline into anywhere, my daughter shows whomever asks HER medic alert tag that says Anxiety Disorder, Depression, OCD ‘Authorized for ESA-no restrictions’ as well as Coraline’s vest to let anyone and everyone know ‘Hey, this is a REAL thing!’And since my daughter plans to become a music therapist, she can quote chapter and verse on the laws regarding Service/Therapy/Support animals!So, in the end - not only did this adorable harness serve its main function - to make sure her cat is SAFE & EASILY SEE when walking - but it was big enough to have it monogrammed. Oh, and we used a weather proofing agent on it, too. So it avoids spills, is good for rain walking (and cats HATE rain walking!) and it keeps Coraline snuggly and warm!

This is my second harness. We've been using this brand since our cat was a few months old. He adapted well to it. We love that he doesn't try to slip out of it. Seem to hold well. Since the cat loves going for walks we've decided to keep one at home and one to travel with. He's currently 1.5 years old @ 9.5 lbs and the XS still fits, but he is "slinky."
