This truly is an Excellent Spoon. It’s Very Sturdy and Well Made, and the Exquisite, Detailed Etched-On Design makes it a Magnificent Work of Art Worthy of Display, on top of its “Practical Uses”. I have Never Seen Another Set of Wooden Kitchen Spoons that were “Decorated” with Etched-On Designs like these Spoons are, which makes them truly UNIQUE and “One of a Kind”!! The “Woodland Collection”, with its Array of “Forest Animals”, is perfect for an Animal Lover and Animal Advocate like Me. I have Woodland Animal Décor Throughout My Entire Home, so this particular collection fits in perfectly. Thus, gushing with LOVE for this “Woodland Collection” of Wooden Kitchen Spoons, I set about looking for and purchasing the ENTIRE COLLECTION on Amazon, and I managed to purchase ALL BUT ONE SPOON, a “Sauce Spoon” with a little Deer etched on it. NOWHERE on Amazon could I find the “Deer Sauce Spoon”! I went online to try and find it elsewhere, and decided to start with the Manufacturer, “Talisman Designs”, and lo and behold, they have a website talismandesigns.com, where one can purchase any of their items. I was THRILLED to find My “Missing Deer Sauce Spoon” there, it was “In Stock”, and for a GREAT PRICE of just $10.00!! Then suddenly, My Joy Turned To EXTREME UPSET when I saw the PRICES OF THE OTHER SPOONS THAT I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED ON AMAZON!! I PAID $13.95 for this PEACOCK MIXING SPOON, and talismandesigns.com had it for $9.00!! That’s a $4.95 PRICE DIFFERENCE and it’s NOT “In My Favor”. I Purchased a TOTAL OF 6 SPOONS From the SAME SELLER as I purchased this one from, and FIVE of Them Were “Over Priced” compared to talismandesigns.com’s Prices!! talismandesigns.com Didn’t Have the 6th Spoon, so there is No Price to Compare on that one. I PAID a TOTAL of $68.75 BEFORE TAXES for the 5 Spoons I Purchased from THIS SELLER, and the EXACT SAME 5 SPOONS would have COST ME a TOTAL of $43.00 BEFORE TAXES on talismandesigns.com. THAT’S A $25.75 DIFFERENCE FOR THE TOTAL ORDER, and ITS NOT IN MY FAVOR!! I Am NOT A Happy Camper!! I am Contemplating RETURNING the 5 SPOONS for a REFUND, and then Re-Purchasing Them on talismandesigns.com, but wonder if the grief and aggravation of shipping them back, plus POSSIBLE Return Shipping Costs, would “Negate” the $25.75 I’d Be Saving?? But, regardless of what I decide, I would, at the Very Least, like to “Make Other Amazon Shoppers Aware” and SAVE THEM FROM MAKING THE SAME COSTLY MISTAKE I DID.

The spoon is beautiful but the polish/varnish has come off in patches

I do really like this spoon. The design is adorable and its really thick solid wood. One reviewer mentioned that it doesn't stain, even with tomato sauce. I totally agree, I've made a few batches of marinara sauce and enchilada sauce, no stains at all. I've had problems in the past with wooden spoons staining easily, snapping, water damage, etc. I don't think I'm going to have a problem with this one. My only beef with Talisman Designs is a few words on the packaging - "Designed in the USA, Handcrafted in China." I just feel that if a product is designed here then it should be hand crafted here. If this spoon was made here in the USA, I'd buy the entire line.

I love love love this mixing spoon, and makes it so much easier to stir up the mixtures in the recipes I follow. The bowl is larger than that of my plastic mixing spoon, and of course it is sturdier which comes in handy when preparing dough. The peacock design is plainly visible without being ostentatious, and the color of the wood is natural in looks and feel. Certainly a welcome addition to my kitchen utensils.

I bought this and the owl slotted spoon locally and liked them so much when I got home that I ordered a few more here as Christmas gifts. I have friends who are naturalists and I know they'll enjoy them.They are appealing to use because they're pretty, and the burned-in designs should help them to remain attractive over time.

I use this big boy often to mix and stir. however i never leave it soaking in my dish water I wash it with warm water and soap after I am done I dry it with a towel and place back in my holder for my next use.

Love this, it's adorable. I've used it many, many times and it's great for cooking and it hasn't stained even after using it in red gravies and meat sauces.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised when this product was delivered! The spoon is sturdy and the design is delightful. I bout this for my niece that loves bees for Christmas and she loved it too :) I will follow this seller in the future for more gifts.

Great spoon but the design is not as described. It does come off over time. Works what it was intended to do however without much thought to it!
