It does the job...all I wanted was to have my hair straight enough so that I can install my minibraids with ease. As other reviews have said it gets very hort so be careful of heat damage. I use a good amount of shea butter after washing my hair before blow drying to act as a heat protectant.I also used for the most part the tension method to blow dry my hair because it gets my hair straight enough and I don't blow dry each section for too long.Also the heat comes out of the top part of the brush only so direct the heat down the hair with this feature in mind.And make sure you read all the warning notes that comes with it.

This product is what girls with 4C hair have been craving! If you have curly or extra curly hair and hate dealing with blow drying and using a flat iron, look no further! This product will dry and straighten your hair from the roots! This won't get your hair perfectly straight, but straight enough if you want to try something different and your coils need relaxing. This dryer will also get your hair straight enough for your braiding stylist for your twists. This isn't as good as a flat iron, but it's close. There are different settings, similar to a blow dryer. The difference with this brush is you don't need two hands; you know, one hand holding the dryer and the other holding the brush. I am in love after the first use! I wish I'd known about this earlier.

It’s great at drying and keeping my hair straight. It’s not the straight that you get from a flat iron. I really like this hair dryer. It’s loud like a regular hair dryer. It takes me 15 minutes to dry my hair which is long to the middle of my back. After I can walk out the door without additional hair styling and still look presentable. It’s has saved me time getting ready.

My hair is a hot mess usually. I am very low-maintenance/lazy (lol) and my typical process is to wash my hair every 2-3 days, air dry, then usually wear it in a clip or bun. Sometimes I can wear it down on day 2, but I have what I recently learned is called “Irish curls,” so the top layer of my hair is straight, but underneath is fairly wavy. Typically, this results in super poofy/frizzy hair that looks wild. Hence why I just wear it up for the most part. Thought I could start trying to make my hair look a little nicer and bought this hoping it would be easy and efficient. It took me about 20 minutes to blow dry, and it was a whole lot easier than using a standard blow dryer. The brush and the entire device is a bit larger than I would like and the motor is a bit loud, but not overwhelming. I like that it doesn’t get too hot- even on the high setting. The brush is excellent, I think- really gets through knots, even in my wet hair. Overall, makes blow drying very easy. Made my hair straighter than it usually is. Left a little bump/poof in the back I couldn’t get too. My hair was still a bit frizzy/flyaways but I used Garnier anti-frizz serum after and that helps a little. I kind of wanted something that really straightening my hair while brushing/blow-drying, but most items on the market have barrel brushes and those don’t work well for my frizzy hair. I think I will keep this product and try it a few more times. I LOVE this blow dryer. I recommend it to everyone I know. The first time I bought it was like six years ago. It’s super easy to use and gets our type four hair detangled and completely stretched out. You will not regret this purchase!

I am Black with thicker coily hair so I usually detangle my hair before I blowdry. I haven't tried using the brush to detangle first since I'm scared it won't be as effective. The bristles aren't super stiff and I haven't broken any yet which is a problem I tend to have. The longer you have it on, the hotter it gets so you want to make sure you don't let your hand slide too high when you use it. The fan blows upward so you can't just hold it parallel to your hair. I have to point it toward my head as I brush. Overall, it does save me time and effort and I hope it lasts a long time.

This hair brush was decent for a while. I had to find the right hold and direct to brush my hair in because the hot air doesn’t come out evenly throughout the entire brush. Once I got that down, it did relatively well.But after some time of using it over the course of some months, I noticed little pink things in my hair. Which was annoying to get out because I have coily/course hair texture. And it’s not like I could just wash it out because I just spent all that time blow drying it!The little resin-tipped balls have been breaking off the brush bristles! I don’t know why it took so long to do this, because now I can’t even return the product because it has been months and well-used. But now I have yet ANOTHER hair brush that can’t handle the task of blow drying thick, black hair.Very annoyed and disappointed

This blow drying brush was so good I had to buy my siblings one for the I’m and their children. This worked wonders on our tightly coiled hair.
