Manly mitts, great gift for husband, not heat proof as I was hoping
Why I bought this product: gift for my husband for Christmas. He does all of the cooking and loves to use the BBQ. These are a little more 'manly' than most of the mitts I was looking at.What I really like: bright color makes them easy to find in the messy kitchen. Grips to make it easy to grab pans and utensils. Size fits even on my husbands large hands. What I really do not like: Sadly these do not hold to the high temp rating that they state. I used these to get a pan out of the oven and the heat quickly seeped through. This is pretty disappointing as I was really hoping these would work well.Packaging: My item was shipped right away, and I received prompt notification. I received it on time and it came as expected.Thank you for reading my review, please let me know if you found this to be helpful. I like to know that it is worth my time to write these reviews. Have a great day!I rely on reviews to help me make a decision when shopping online. I do keep my posts updated if the item breaks or exceeds my expectations for an extended time.

Heat resistant, but just barely.
Like others state, they are definitely not the best at insulating hands from heat. They resist heat, yes, and are good for temporarily grasping hot items. But beyond removing a hot pan from an oven and setting it on the counter top, they are nearly useless. Based on everything I read (including past reviews) I expected to comfortably grip and hold hot items for more than a handful of seconds. However, the first test I did of these was a failure: I wore a glove and ran it under the hot water of my sink (which comes out steaming) and I still felt like I could burn my hand there. Hot water at around 200 degrees F is a much gentler test than a pan coming out of a 400 degree oven! They resist enough heat to suffice for the quick uses one might have for them in a kitchen, but don't be fooled into thinking you'll be throwing away your hot pads anytime soon!

Neat product with good grip but harder to put on...
These look cool mainly, ha! They work pretty good but your hand will still get hot after about 10 seconds of holding a hot dish. The main thing I like is the grip they give you. The main thing I don't like is how hard they are to put on. Since they are silicone on the inside it's like putting on rubber gloves and they don't always slide on easily like a cotton mit would...

These gloves are excellent. Highly recommend generally
These gloves are excellent. Highly recommend generally. If you larger-than-normal hands, you'll may find, as I did that the "One size fits all" doesn't fit. Workaround is to simply fold the glove(s) in half and grab whatever it is that needs grabbing. Unfortunately, I bought these for grilling and because of the fit, I can't use them for reaching in if I can't wear them.

The reason that my rating is OK is that the gloves are on the small size for a man's hand. I work in surgery and use a size 8 glove, a regular size for a average man. I can't get my whole hand in the gloves. They appear to be made well and would serve their purpose.

Heat resistant not heat proof
Definitely only heat resistant not heat proof. Depending on the situation I feel like the gloves are ultimately conducting the heat if you have them on and near the heat. If it's for quick use to pull things in and out of the oven they seem to work great.

Too thin, but cool-looking.
These are very cool-looking, but aren't quite as thick as I feel they should be. You can definitely feel the heat of a pan/baking sheet through these. You won't burn yourself with these on, but I'd definitely prefer it if they were just a little bit thicker.
