Q: Will these work without a preamp ? Can't seem to get it to work in a mic without a preamp.

Works perfect with a classic amplifier such as BM800 low budget condenser (electret) mic. The result is a good home studio condenser microphone using +48V phantom power.

Not sure, but I think should be easy to adapt. For BM800 mic is a perfect replace for it's own 16mm electret.

This diafragm condenser electret could be supplied using any common condenser mic amplifier powered by a +48V phantom power. Use a BM800 mic, replace it's capsule with this one and you will have a good condenser mic for your home studio!
