MEC Jig Fixture

This jig was exactly what I was looking for. I have three MEC 600 JR's that I switch between. I use to bolt them on to a portable base that I made and now I just use a 5/32 allen wrench to replace my 600 JR with a different one. Let me start off by saying that the jig was shipped in its original packaging and no outside box with some sort of package protection. The package that I received was broken open partially and a few of the washers were missing. Nothing big because I had extras. Good thing I did, the instructions state for the 600 JR, use one washer above and one washer below the slide brackets. I found that when I slide a 600 JR in or out of the jig, it was a little bit tight. I put the two washers below the bracket and now in my honest opinion, it works much more better. I added pictures. I also use an aftermarket magnetic spent primer tray that I got from Ebay. Because of the jigs slides extra added hight where the tray goes, I had to take about 1/4" off the top of the tray and then sand a new angle on the inside side so it can sit flush to the body of the press. Not hard at all. I've added pictures too. I don't know how the original spent primer tray fits but I believe it should be ok. This is a really good product that fits my needs perfectly and I am glad that MEC made them. I live in a small apartment and space is of a premium. This jig helps. Hope this review helps. If you reload multiple gauges like I do, this is a great product to help open up shelf space. Mounts easy, with just two screws holding the plate to the bench, four screws hold the slots for the mount to the plate and two screws hold the press securely. Makes swapping between presses easy and opens up bench space.

The concept and design of the jig were great. When the jig arrived it was missing 3 screws and washers and the threads of the jig were rough. I re-tapped the treads and got new screws from Home Depot. The package appeard to have been opened and re sealed, I am guessing that my item was previously returned and the vendor just resold it. I am not sure why else it would be missing screws and the threads would need to be redone.

The product worked perfectly, hated I found it 20 dollars cheaper after it arrived.

This was clearly used! Plate is bent, missing parts and packaged very poorly. One screw hole was stripped. Very disappointing.

This product was missing some of the screws box ends where open had to go to hardware store and buy more

This is a space saver for sure.! I’ve got a few MEC presses now and having the ability to swap them out and save bench space is great.! Highly recommended..!
