It's beauty is only skin deep.
The replacement filter doesn't fit and keeps falling out, so everything starts to smell. Other than nice looks, I would not buy this product again. I would like LCM Home Fashions to mail me some replacement filters.

Nice Quality, Great Look
I love it. Square shapes are more efficient than round ones in small spaces, and the clean design is nice. The lid fits fine on mine as well, and it has a decent capacity, though I wouldn't leave compost on a kitchen counter longer than 2-3 days.

Roomy, with good odor control. Prone to cracking
1.5 gallons is a good bit of space to collect peelings without frequent trips to your compost bin. The charcoal filter seems to do a good job of controlling odor.It doesn't take a lot to crack it, though. The body developed a hairline crack after being bumped. When the lid broke, we gave in and bought another one.However, we did like it enough to get a second, so there's that.
