These things are super bright, so be sure you never look directly at the light. We got these when another hurricane was forecasted and we wanted to make sure we were prepared in case of power outage. Of course, we didn't lose power, but we still use these on occasion. We like that they turn on when you open instead of having to press a button. My only complaint is that it doesn't have different light modes like others we've since purchased have (like red flasher for emergencies or different dimness settings). But again, they work and they're cheap.

It was a good idea to include emergency whistle and fire starter kit with the lantern !!The emergency whistle works easily, but the fire starter kit hardly works and not reliable !!!Also the flint comes loose (only hold in place with tape) in the storage compartment, and the loose flint causes rattlings !! Not appreciated on a camping or hiking trailThe lantern works like other similar lanterns !!!

It is small and easy to use. But I was looking for a kind of lantern that would be appropriate for 5-6 adults camping in the desert. Apparently it is not nearly enough. Its probably good enough for 2 adults in a small tent.Good I got two of these, so combined they were bright enough.Also make sure you read the size of the lantern. My mistake that I did not read it was less than 12 inches in height.

I ordered these in preparation for a hurricane. I received them the next day which was great! It was a two pack and one was really awesome (bright, sturdy and easy to use), the other, unfortunately was missing a spring where the batteries go, so it is unusable. I didn't have to email the seller because they reached out to me wanting to make sure all was ok. I mentioned the broken light and they will be sending a replacement pair. Awesome customer service! Thank you!

They are really nice and well made. The light that is very bright. I sorry I can’t give you an option on the strength of the magnets.I did not give five stars because, I feel it goes though Batteries much to fast.

These things are bright....its great for power outages or camping or working under the hood. Very light and the magnets are a nice touch.My only complaint is the 3aa batteries. A rechargeable battery would get a 5 star.But overall for the price......just buy these!

These lights are well made & great quality for the price it's just amazing. They are extremely bright and sturdy. I am putting two in our RV and will keep two in the house for an emergency. I am ordering several more for gifts:-)

This was our 3rd order of these lanterns. I bought a set for my husband who then bought 2 sets for his friends. They are a great value & work great.
