The product came in a name branded package and was easy to use. LD Carlson is the brand.

It’s always great to find a product you need locally but because of the pandemic most brewing supply stores are closed. Closest one is 50 miles away round-trip. Sometimes they have this product. Sometimes they don’t decided to look at Amazon found out they had it in stock delivery was on time before I had to brew good product, save you with gas time and money

I've used this in the past with sketch results. I switched to a nutrient that did not have food grade Urea in it and my fermentations would go rapidly with no stalling. In fact they would be so active that my bubbler would often spew water because it was outgasing so fast.I accidentally ordered this one again and when it arrived, I figured what the heck, I'll try it again.I made a 28 gallon batch of mash, added just a little over the recommend amount to make sure my yeast were happy and capped it to ferment.Two days went by and no bubbling. Then a week.. I uncapped the barrel and could smell a little alcohol, but my mash was still pretty sweet. I let it sit for another two weeks and still no notable activity out of my airlock.I could tell that my yeast was still alive, but not actively fermenting.I ordered a different, none Urea, nutrient and added it by slowly stirring it into the mash so not to add any oxygen.Within 24 hours, my airlock was bubbling like mad and my mash was doing what was intended.Bottom line. This nutrient is completely ineffective and stalled my fermentation right away. I will never buy again.I hope this helps another hobby distiller.
